It was a warm and sunny day. Death the Kid was getting ready for the first day. Liz and Patti were ready and waiting for Kid. All of a sudden Kid screamed "Liz! Patti! I'm not symmetrical!" Liz and Patti rushed to see what happened; Kid had cut his hair uneven. Liz grabbed the scissors and fixed his hair. Then he said "okay let's go to school!" At school Kid, Liz, and Patti ran into Soul, Maka, Blackstar, and Tsubaki. They all walked to class, when they realized that wasn't there. was gone for the day and no one was there for substitute for him. Not even Maka's dad could substitute because he wasn't at school either.

Maka was suspicious so she went to talk to Lord Death. When she reached Lord Death she asked "where's my dad?" Lord Death looked up and said "I don't know where your dad is… he left in the middle of the night." she had a concerned look on her face. Maka started crying and she ran outside. As she ran she bumped into Death the Kid. He lookd at her and asked "Maka? Are you ok?" She looked up and said politly "No, my dad is missing" she cried more. Death stopped asking questions and just hugged her. As kid hugged her she smiled.

Just as they were going to kiss, Black Star approached, Maka hid quickly and Death just stood there. Black Star shouted "I will surpass the gods!" After Black Star left Death went to look for Maka, he found her in a tree a few minutes away from where they grabbed her arm softly and hugged her. Maka hugged him, after a few minutes of hugging a branch snapped behind Maka. She jumped into Kid's arms, it was Tsubaki. She was looking for Black Star, Tsubaki saw Maka in KId's arms, she giggled. "Have either of you seen Black Star?" Maka and Kid both pointed towards the directing they were and Tsubaki ran towards Black Star. Maka was shocked Tsubaki didn't freak out when she saw her in Kid's arms. Tsubaki and Black Star headed back to The Death Weapon Mister Academy, Maka and KId walked back together, holding hands slowly.
