"Its Saturday" he heard his mom say from across the room. "What?" he said groggily. "It's Sat-ur-day" His mother said slowly. "Oh yeah, Saturday" he said trying to wake himself up.
Kaleb, finally able to capture what she said, sat up in his bed and let his legs dangle off the edge.
"I set up your clothes on the dresser. Its 6:30 and the hover should be here by 8 so make sure your ready by seven so we can bring up breakfast and not be late this time." She said that last part with an annoyance in her voice. Kaleb had been late to the hover multiple times. One time it even flew off without him since it only waits for you for about five minutes. Kaleb sat on the bed, trying to get enough energy to get up and head to the bathroom. When he finally did, he stepped into the shower system and pressed the button for warm water.
The tiny droplets flew from all the little holes in the top of the tiled shower, sending Kaleb into a deep relaxation mode. After a minute or two a tile in each of the sides of the shower, except for the door, raised up and 3 shiny silver nozzles came out an sprayed Kaleb with soap. Some got in his eye, like it always does and like he always does, he yelped and waited for the burning pain to end, then washed his eye out. He let the soap rinse off him before he pressed the drying button. The water instantly cut off and heated wind was blown at him until he was dry.
He walked to his room, a towel around him just in case his mother or little sister came out of their dressing room. He went into his dressing room, which was just a small room with a dresser and a wall of mirrors that decorated it. He checked the time, it was 6:45. He was relieved he didn't take too long in the shower. He also saw his birthday card, that had been given to him from his family just yesterday, when he turned 14 and his clothes that his mom set out earlier. He put on the clothes and turned to the opposite side of the room where the wall of mirrors was. He examined himself, sorta liking what he was wearing.
It was red, his favorite color. His shirt was plaid shirt with white buttons going down it. He also wore pants that were a darker shade of red and red converse sneakers. All red. He admired himself in the mirror for so long that it was already 7:05. He wet down the stairs and saw his mother pushing the buttons that bring up breakfast. There is an area in the kitchen with the digital words breakfast over a bunch of buttons with breakfast choices written under them. on the side of the panel there are two buttons, a red one with the words flip under it and a green one with the word order under it. There was also another screen with the list of items you ordered. The list said:
Orange Juice...3 glasses
Pancakes w/syrup... 2 plates
Bacon... 12 slices
Scrambled eggs... 3 plates
"What would you like Kaleb?" his mom asked
"Umm... french toast would be fine"
"Ok, its coming up in about 2 minutes."
She added French toast with syrup to the list and a cup of coffee to go. The food came up and Kaleb, his mother, and his sister , Ruby, ate breakfast and was finished by 7:45. The hover came exactly at 8:00. They piled in and headed for the usual Saturday Lottery.
