Gravity

When will I fall into You

my wisdom overcome by its

infinite lacking

?

A child crawling could see you more clearly

A new perspective will

discover a world

My striving is not what completes me

Will I always be a blind man stumbling

on the level ground

?

I cannot light the way in my own strength

Open my eyes that I might

gaze upon the obvious

Have I wasted my time constructing an

edifice to the unknown, when it

stands right before me

?

The answer must be too simple, and I

being too learnèd, will not

stoop to its splendor

One day, when I find that I am

much smaller than I thought I was

i will come

tumbling

down

just like

the walls

of Jericho.

A/N: I thought about writing a whole explanation about what I was trying to say with this poem, but then I decided against it. I'm gonna wait and see what everyone thinks about it first. Usually people comment somehow on what they thought the message was, so I'll read the reviews, and then add a chapter on what it really was about. I'm interested to see where you all take it… = )
