This came into my head as I was falling asleep last night. It was better in my head, but I still like how I typed it. I'm surprised that I even remembered any of this.

A Confession Before I Go

It's my entire fault; my fault that he's been in the hospital for 2 weeks. We got into another fight like we always did. We were standing on the sidewalk with a lot of traffic speeding. We were all standing there; Yuugi, Honda, Anzu, Ryou, Otogi, Jou, and I, Kaiba Seto.

I called him a worthless mutt like I usually do. He seemed to have gotten angrier than usually. He came charging at me while I just stood there; a smirk on my face. Honda and Otogi tried holding him back, but they were too late, and before I knew it, the mutt and I were getting into a fist fight.

We were screaming hurtful words to each other. Punching, kicking, scratching, spitting, while the others just helplessly watched. Before I knew what I was doing, I pushed him. I pushed him right into the street, and a car going faster than it should have, hit him.

I remember all his friends rushing into the road; picking him up and quickly moving him over to the sidewalk. I quickly dialed 911 on my phone.

I'm so sorry Jou. Just…hang in there. That's what I wanted to say, but I just couldn't find my voice to talk to him. No one glared at me; no one looked over to me for that matter. They just kept screaming to Jou. Telling him to get up, to open his eyes.

"I'm here to see Jounouchi Katsuya." The nurse gave me the door number and I walked to his room. I've been visiting everyday since the accident. He went into a comma, but I got a call from Yuugi saying that Jou was now awake. So I quickly rushed over here to see the miracle with my own two eyes.

"I…want…to see…him…" I heard that innocent weak voice say as my hand touched the doorknob.

"Kaiba's on his way," Yuugi answered, "I called him and he said he's coming down."

The mutt wanted to see me? After what I did to him? I decided to open the door. Everyone turned to look at me.

"Jou. We'll be back in a few," After Anzu said this; they all left and closed the door behind them; leaving Jou and I alone.

I walk over to him. There were different tubes connected to his body. I couldn't believe this. I'll never forgive myself.

"I…don't know…how much time I…have left…" You could hear that he had hard time breathing.

"Don't say that." I spoke in my regular tone. He just smiled at me for a moment.

"Come here." I leaned on my knees. "Closer," he whispered, "Closer," Our noses were now touching. "Now…kiss…me…" I was very surprised, but didn't hesitate one bit. The kiss was gentle, but full of so much passion and love. I couldn't believe the mutt wanted to kiss me.

"Now…Kaiba Seto…a…confession before…I…go…" My eyes widened. I could see his life slipping away.

"Jou…don't go!" All my emotions broke through the barrier.

"I…love you…" He spoke breathlessly.

Tears were now falling from my eyes. "Yes Jou, yes. I love you too! So stay with me! Don't go!" As I screamed and begged him to stay, I saw one of his last heart-warming smiles, and his eyes closed.

"Jou!" All of Jounouchi's friends came rushing in with the doctor and two nurses. Yuugi placed a hand on my shoulder as I cried and still begged my blonde haired puppy to come back.

I look up at Jou's lifeless body; his corpse, as I heard his spirit. "Be happy Seto."
