SF #7- The Brave Little Pirate
"Ahoy, ye landlubbers! Surrender all ye precious booty or else surrender yer lives; nothing but the smell of the salty mistress is certain here." Radio, who had a black flag bearing a Jolly Roger symbol tied to his antenna, had decided to adopt pirate-speak for the day. The flag, instead of a skull, had the outline of a Toaster on it.
"First mate Lampy, how's the weather lookin'?"
"Nothing but clear skies and open ocean ahead!"
"Ah...the excitement of adventure, the search for lost treasure, the bounty on our heads-"
"Are you finished yet?!" Kirby snapped in.
Taking a step back, it was apparent that Kirby was being used as a makeshift pirate ship. Lampy, donning an eyepatch, stood atop Kirby's head ("the crow's nest" as Radio put it). Around Kirby's pole clung a smiling Blanky, who held himself like a sail. Radio, who had been blaring at Kirby's side, turned to face the disgruntled vacuum.
"All hands on deck! Is that the Kracken I hear?"
"Grr..."
"Or perhaps the elusive humpback whale."
"Why did I agree to this again?"
"Because you love us," Blanky said proudly, hugging Kirby tightly around his pole.
Kirby, ready to bark a comeback, was interrupted by Radio.
"Thar he is now- the captain himself!"
Toaster wobbled in, an eyepatch over one of his eyes and a wooden stub on one of his walking pegs.
"Ahoy!" He greeted with a wave and a smile.
"You too?!" Kirby asked incredulously.
Toaster laughed. "It doesn't hurt anybody."
"What do you call this, then?" His eyes flicked up at Lampy, who was hopping about on Kirby's head.
"Good sportsmanship?" Radio chimed in.
"A big headache."
"Well..." Toaster pondered aloud, "you don't have to do anything you don't want to."
"Though it'd be mean of you to quit on us now." Lampy poked at Kirby.
"The things I do for you guys..." he mumbled under his breath.
"What was that, Carpetbreath?" Radio leaned in close.
"If you don't keep quiet, I'm gonna capsize your boat."
"Haha~" Radio boasted, "you wouldn't try!"
And you can only imagine the shenanigans that followed.
