Prologue

Richard's face was pounding; he could feel the blood trickling down his cheek. He slowly opened his eyes and made 3 checks'. Was he alive? Yes. Was he ok? Yes. Was he safe? No. Richard turned his head towards a chewing sound. What he saw made him sick to the core. It was a hideous beast with a human shaped body but hunched over and deformed and it had rancid horrible skin. Richard turned and quietly looked for a weapon and he found one. He silently crept into his father's room without alerting the beast and found what he was looking for beside his father's bed was his sword it gleamed in the sunlight like a lighthouse beckoning towards him. he's always wanted his father to teach him how to fight with a sword but his father said it would just lead to despair and sorrow, never the less he would often go out and train with his friend Dwayne in the forest , he picked up the weapon and swung it around a couple of times .bad idea. The sword clanged against the concrete wall.

"Oh crap" said Richard

In the other room the beast rose up and headed towards the noise Richard could hear the beast with every lumbering step getting closer and closer. Then it stopped right in the doorway just standing there now Richard was closer he could see its face it was horribly deformed all of its teeth were canines and it had no nose and no eyes. Richard took one step forward and the beast walked towards him a bit and then stopped he knew what to do. He picked up one of his mothers book and chucked it against the wall the beast charged at the wall and this is the time Richard choose to strike he swung his sword down at the beast but the beast dodged and grabbed the sword. He know that he's going to die he closes his eyes and waits 5 seconds 10 seconds how long was this beast going to torment him

He opened one eye and looked at the beast. It was as still as a rock the beast lost its grip on the sword and fell to the floor it had two knifes sticking out of its back he looks for his savour there's a scuffle to the right of him and he strikes but is easily blocked

"You always were too easy to read "Said Dwayne

"Shut up" scowled Richard and then broke into laughter

"What is that thing "

"Don't know "

"We should ask your dad"

" yen"

Dwayne goes out the room and exclaims

"Oh my god Richard get over here!"

Richard runs to the door to see what's happening and he cannot believe what he is seeing the whole village was in carnage Richard and Dwayne stared at the village in disbelief it was in ruins the beast were everywhere and there all different to hideous to describe

"we have to help "Richard shouts over the noise

"This is beyond us"

" I agree with Dwayne"

"Who the hell are you"

"You do not need to know that right know all you need to know is come with me or you die"
