Harry bit his lip.

"Nobody will find out, right?" Hermione rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Everything is going to be fine. Your secret is safe with Ron and I." Harry nodded, feeling relieved. He trusted them not to say anything. They were his best friends. He nodded again, to reassure himself. Hermione grabbed his hand and lead them both to the Great Hall for dinner.

They entered the Great Hall and sat at the Gryffindor table with Ron and Ginny. A conversation about Quidditch started up, but Harry could not focus. His secret was safe with Ron and Hermione. No one else knew. He began to relax, but Ginny looked at him, horrified.

"What?" He said, confused. Ginny shook her head. Harry shrugged and picked up his fork to spear some more chicken.

He went to bed that night, content. No one knew his secret and he still had his trusted companions to confide in about said secret. Wrapping his arms around his pillow, he settled in for a good night's sleep.

Harry awoke feeling nervous again. What if Ginny was horrified because she knew?! This was startling, but Harry was sure that she would not tell if she knew. Calm, he got ready for the day and waited in the common room for his friends to walk to breakfast together.

While he waited, he did his favourite activity. Counting. He counted everybody exiting the portrait for breakfast. Thirty-two. It was a Saturday and most people came to breakfast late, or just slept in until lunch. The number of blankets on the couch. Seven. He decided to make a cocoon around himself with them.

"Harry, where are you?" Hermione's voice called. Harry blinked. He was in plain sight. He struggled out of his cocoon just in time for Hermione to walk in front the couch. She shrieked and sent a glare at him. Ron's laughter echoed through the room. They all walked down to breakfast, choosing not to discuss Hermione's fright.

When they walked through the doors of the Great Hall, everybody was staring. A few bursts of laughter came from different spots at the tables. Harry sped up his pace and sat down at the Gryffindor table. More staring. Hermione and Ron soon sat next to him.

He piled some food onto his plate. The staring became more intense.

"What is everyone staring at?!" He whispered to Hermione. She appeared to hear him, but did not respond. She was looking at Ron. Ron looked guilty. Harry turned to Ron.

"Did you tell someone?" Harry asked. Ron nodded and mumbled something incomprehensible.

Harry motioned for him to speak up. He regretted that instantly.

"Well. I might have told Ginny and Seamus." At Harry's look of horror, Ron continued quickly.

"I'm sorry! I just couldn't hold it in!"

Harry was not angry. He was disappointed and very worried. Seamus was not too good at keeping his mouth shut. That explained the stares. Harry closed his eyes momentarily. If it had got to everybody, then he was waiting for a certain someone-

"Potter." It was Malfoy. Harry cursed under his breath. He opened his eyes and turned around in his seat to meet Malfoy's. It was better to get this over with now.

"What." Harry said, tiredly.

"There's a rumour going around-," Malfoy started. Harry cut him off.

"The rumour is true. Tease me now and get it over with." Harry rubbed his eyes behind his glasses. Malfoy blinked.

"I'm planning on doing something a bit different." Before Harry could ask, Malfoy pulled him upright and kissed him. Harry wound his arms around his neck and Malfoy's went around his waist.

Harry liked the effects of this spilled secret. Others? Not so much.
