Tonks was worried about Remus. He seemed in a daze almost all the time and seemed so sad since Sirius died. He put on a brave front whenever he came to visit her at St. Mungos and, when she was released,at home but she had talked to Kingsley, who had invited Remus to stay with him, and he said that sometimes he'd get up at three am to get some water or something and he'd walk by Remus' room and hear him crying.
She and Molly, both strong willed women wrote to the Daily Prophet's advice column to see what they could do to help him. About five days later they were told to wait about two weeks and then talk to Remus about Sirius, not to give him advice or try to relate, but just ask him about Sirius. Tonks read the letter aloud and, despite Molly's protests that the best way to get a man over a loss was to set him up with a beautiful witch, decided to follow its advice. She waited, as advice columnist, had suggested and then invited Remus to tea at her flat. She put a kettle on the stove set up plates and spoons and some biscuits and sat down to wait for Remus. He showed up a few moments later, she took out two tea cups, added tea leaves and the water and they sat down to drink their tea. Remus added sugar and milk to his. Tonks drank her's as is

" Is this flavoured?"

"Yeah, its peach. A little birdie told me it was your favourite. I bought a canister a week ago at this lovely teashop in Digagon alley. D'you like it?"

"Its great. I haven't had good tea in nearly a month, I've had to buy the generic brand at Tesco." He made a face.

"Kingsley doesn't drink tea?"

"No, he doesn't. He's allergic, poor chap."

"Remus, you've seemed a little in a daze and down lately. I think you should talk to me about it, about Sirius. Tell me about him, about what you miss about him"

Remus stared into his tea as though it held all the answers in the universe in it."I miss him, him in general, his laugh, his smile, his caring for me, I miss his touch as we laid together in bed. He was more than a friend, closer than a brother, more dear to my heart than any lover." He paused. " He was a friend of mine."

A day or so later, she went over to Molly Weasley's house to tell her that she was helping Remus and that there was no need for her to set Remus up on a date. Molly offered her a cup of tea before they started talking, it tasted for a second like Chinese take-away, summer peaches and cheese cake but then the taste was gone. Molly asked

"So how's Remus, dear."

Tonks burst out in tears, "He doesn't love me."
