A/N: Hi guys!

Yeah. I'm back.

And I'm pretty sure you've never seen me write a PJO story before so . . . yay!

This is in Annabeth's point of view, and may/will contain angst. Depending on how you view angst.

Did this for a friend in my school. She ships Percy and Artemis together-we bicker, heh-and well, since I'm nice and all (psh) I decided to make her this fanfic.

So yeah, so Eunice (she won't tell me her FF Pen Name why), this is for you. :)

She felt him slip away.

All the clues. The weird suspicions. They were all adding up to something. Something she always knew was coming.

Percy Jackson didn't love her anymore.

Ever since the Hunters came back to camp for a short visit, Annabeth knew Percy had an eye for one of them: Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt herself. It was pretty weird, falling in love with a goddess, but Annabeth couldn't blame Percy. The Olympian was daring. Brave. Fearless. She put up with anyone who has the nerve to stand in her way.

She was like Annabeth, only better.

And so, she hated her: For being so similar to Annabeth. She hated Percy: For falling in love with Artemis. And lastly, she hated herself: For being an idiot to let this happen.

Slowly, she faded from him. Faded from his grasp. Annabeth melted into the background at dinners in the pavilion. She steered herself away from him when in battle, which always helped. She was distracted by the enemy, and she couldn't see that, from the corner of her eye, Percy and Artemis were fighting side by side.

Just like they used to.

"Are you okay?" Percy asked her one day. They were in Poseidon's cabin, and Annabeth was packing up the clothes and the other things she left in the place, reminders that Annabeth was always around, even if she wasn't.

As if Percy cared any less now.

"I am." She didn't look up from her spot.

"Then why do you have to take your things away?"

Because you don't care anymore. "I need to use them." Lies. "And besides, it's disrespectful to Poseidon for me to leave my stuff in his cabin."

"Dad wouldn't be offended at all." Percy was in front of her now, trying to look into those gray, stormy eyes with his sea-greens.

Annabeth was mute. She picked up the box, gave Percy a look, and left the cabin without a word.

She hasn't talked to Percy ever since.

Time turned into seconds, minutes, hours, days, until a week passed. Percy was even farther than before, and Annabeth once again hated herself for letting this get too far.

It was her last summer day at camp and Annabeth decided to say goodbye before going back to the city and giving her father another chance. She searched for him that night, looking for the cabins to the Big House until she saw his familiar figure, standing in the strawberry fields.

"Percy?" She called out, drawing nearer to the silhouette before stopping herself.

It was Percy alright, but he was pressed up with someone, as if they were . . . kissing? Annabeth was eight feet away before she could realize what was in front of her.

Percy. And Artemis. Kissing.

Annabeth Chase ran.

A/N: And that's the end of that. :) stay tuned for Percy's point of view, which will be uploaded soon.
