There is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it.
Hogwarts loomed in the distance, the magnificent castle stood out against the Black Lake as carriages pulled by an unseen force flew above the dark waters that reflected the many lights from the castle, inside this carriage sat three girls, one red head with a severe dusting of freckles across her face and a slightly upturned nose, another with perfectly straight blonde hair and icy blue eyes with glasses that just couldn't seem to stay up on her nose, the last girl sat closer to the window, her dark hair was pushed behind her ear, her blonde roots showed at the top of her head, her face was buried in a book, the girl with red hair cleared her throat and kicked the dark haired girls foot, she looked up slowly, bending the edge of her page and closing the book, she sat the reading material down on the seat next to her. "What is it now, Milan?" The red head, or Milan, scrunched her nose up in distaste at the mention of her name. "Ollie, you know I want you to call me Millie." The dark haired girl, Ollie, rolled her eyes.
"Right, well then Millie, what is it now? Has someone died?" The blonde snorted as she rolled her eyes and nodded towards Millie. "Go on then, share your news." Millie almost seemed giddy as she scooted over towards Ollie's personal space at an alarming rate, before she quickly grasped her arm and was literally jumping up and down on the cushioned seats. Ollie rolled her eyes and removed the girls hands from her arm, and sighed in exasperation. "Millie, if you don't tell me, I'll fling you from the carriage, Merlin, you're worse than John." Millie took a moment before her face split into a grin. "Sirius Black, he was at my parents over the summer, and let me tell you Ollie, he's gotten even more fit than we remember." The small red head was practically gushing with the information, Ollie looked into the blondes direction the other just shook her head. Ollie sighed,
"If you don't remember Millie, I don't rightfully care for Sirius Black." Millie rolled her green eyes at her. "Please, Ollie, when are you going to forgive Sirius for cutting your hair off?" Ollie looked at the other girl with wide gray eyes. "Do you know what that prat did to me?! My hair hasn't been the same since that prat cast that charm." Ollie sighed and looked to the blonde girl once more. "Maggie, could you please talk some sense into our little butterball?" The blonde girl, now identified as Maggie, rolled her crystal blue eyes and moved onto the side of the carriage where the other two girls were sitting, managing to make the space even more tight for Ollie, who'd been smashed against the window by the two others. Maggie grasped the red heads hands and shook her head, "My dear sweet, Millie, if ever you get the chance to be blessed by Sirius Black's advances, I'd advise you to shoo him away without hesitation, we all remember what he put Mary McDonald though." The girls all looked to one an another and cringed.
Mary McDonald had been in their year and Maggie's housemate, at first she'd been the object of the Black boys affection, until he'd gotten bored of her, like he did with every girl since third year and tossed her aside for a sixth year Ravenclaw, and so the cycle of Sirius Black's conquests continued. Ollie sighed and shook her head as she opened her book once more and continued from where she left off, sometimes she thought she was the only one who hadn't fallen for Sirius Black's sweet talk and his roguish looks, maybe cause she thought he happened to be the biggest git she'd ever met in her life and she wasn't one to fall for flowery talk and immaturity.
First chapter, just a bit of an insight, I'll try an keep this story going.
