Mornings

Bonnie Bennett walked towards the kitchen and saw her boyfriend, Kol Mikaelson flipping pancakes over the stove like a pro. He looked up and smiled. "Greetings, little witch."

"Morning," Bonnie kissed his cheek as she took an apple. She looked at the pancakes. "I think those are burnt."

Kol cocked his head to the side. "They are not burnt. They are just extra crispy. And what kind of greeting is that?"

"What is wrong with my greeting? It's surely better than the one I used to give you years ago or do you prefer the aneurysm?"

Kol pouted. "I greet you with my special nickname for you every morning and you need to do the same, if you don't want this relationship to fail."

Bonnie's smile twitch. "Well, I surely don't want to ruin our relationship. So how do you want me to say good morning to you?"

Kol thought for a moment. "How about good morning love of my life? The reason I live for, you complete me, without you my life doesn't make sense."

"Yeah, I think I'm just going to go with good morning, Kol from now on."

"Well, I've always been fond of the classics."
