Addison walked into Joe's and her eyes couldn't help but be drawn to the figure sitting at the end of the bar. She and that figure had caused each other more than enough pain over the years, but…he was it. Derek Sheperd would always be the way she defined herself, and tonight she was planning on doing something they would both probably regret come morning.

He didn't even need to turn around. He felt her the moment she entered the room. He'd missed her since she'd run off to LA. The best way to describe her was an addiction. They were poison to each other, but he couldn't stop wanting her. She was coming closer. He could pick up on that faint scent of orchid that always accompanied his Addison. Then he heard it. The voice that he'd needed for so long without even realizing it.

"Hey Derek, how about a drink?," before he could answer she turned to Joe and ordered them both a shot of whiskey.

Do you still drank whiskey
Can I buy you a round
If nobody's sittin' here
Do you mind if I sit down

She sat down next to him staring into her drink and trying to figure out where to go from here. She knew what she wanted, but at the same time she was scared. There had been a moment when she first walked in when she considered just turning around, but for some reason she couldn't do it. She almost had to laugh at the absolute failure that LA was turning out to be for her. So much for her independence.

I was nervous when I saw you
I almost walked away
And now I can't believe
What I'm about to say

"Derek, let's go back to my hotel room."
