Drabble. Lazar/Mina. In all of the bickering and all the juvenile differences, they both knew that the Sector Security was a reason for what they stand for.

In Sector Security, Lazar and Mina were both assigned to safeguard Jack Atlas' wellbeing and look over New Domino City in all of its glory, because it was their job and their birthright to do so. But sometimes Mina found Lazar frustrating. He was too complex to understand, and he hid behind the veil of emotional blackmail and conniving tendencies that it was impossible to tell what he was thinking or what he was going to do next. It was an after-effect of corruption and power, Mina supposed, though his schemes to assist Goodwin would be that of loyalty and a strong sense of duty for the city and the inhabitants within it.

Then again, Lazar found her frustrating as well, because despite her dedication to her work and to watrch over Jack, she would spark the wrath of the ones who were superior to her, and no one wanted that to happen. There was too much at stake for Sector Security to have come crashing down, especially with the Satellites and there had to be no interferences with the plans of both Goodwin and Yliaster. They need to gather all the destined Signers so that a resurrection of the mightiest beast will cleanse the evil from the pure New Domino City.

Both Lazar and Mina found each other frustrating, but then again, it was because of what they saw in their own eyes of what their birthright was and would be for a matter of time. In all of the bickering and all the juvenile differences, they both knew that the Sector Security was and will be what stands for the sake of New Domino City and they had to stand for that very reason.
