Ginny looked down the wedding aisle and grimaced, thinking she would like to be anywhere other then here. She didn't want to watch her best friend and the love of her life get married, but she had agreed to come when she didn't even know what she was agreeing to when she agreed. Ginny sighed and watched Harry and Hermione walk down the aisle, hand in hand. It wasn't like the traditional Muggle weddings, she supposed. Hermione had told her that usually the Father of the Bride walked the Bride down the aisle and the Groom was already waiting at the Alter. She shrugged. She really didn't care. She honestly wanted to be anywhere but there. She felt sick to her stomach as she watched them smiling at each other. Hermione's face was glowing with happiness and Harry looked proud to marry the smartest witch since Helga Hufflepuff.
The reached the Alter finally, at which Albus Dumbledore was standing and smiling at them.
"We are gathered here today, on March 13th, to bring together, in love and happiness, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. They have agreed to love and cherish each other in sickness and health for the rest of their beautiful lives, and now, the vows..
Do you, Harry James Potter, take Hermione Jane Granger, the most brave and confident person I know in Marriage. In sickness and in health. In happiness and sorrow, for the rest of your life?"
"I do." Harry smiled, without hesitation.
"And do you," Albus began, turning to Hermione, "take Harry James Potter to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, in happiness and sorrow, for the rest of your amazing life together?"
"I do." Hermione grinned.
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife!" Dumbledore was beaming from ear to ear, "you may now kiss the bride!"
Harry leaned in and kissed Hermione sweetly on the lips and their family and friends in the pews stood up to clap and whistle. That is, everyone but Ginevra Weasley and Draco Malfoy. They both shared the same look of digestedness at the obviously love-sick couple.
Three Years Later ~
Hermione smiled down at her three year old twins and turned to Harry, who was watching them fondly with a smile on his face. Lily, the girl, older by three minutes crawled over to James with one of her soft covered books and started showing him the pictures. James smiled and leaned over and hugged Lily. And that's how they started the New Year, as the clock struck twelve.
