What Happened To Hating You?
This story is based on a couple of line in City Of Bones.
Pg 202:
"I'm sorry," she said, not sure whom she was even speaking to. Out of the corner of her ye she thought she saw Jace shoot her a look of white rage – but when she glanced at him, he looked as he always did: easy, confident, slightly bored.
"In future, Clarissa," he said, "it might be wise to mention that you already have a man in your bed, to avoid such tedious situations."
"You invited him to bed?" Simon demanded, looking shaken.
"Ridiculous, isn't it?" said Jace. "We would never have all fit."
And that's basically what this story's about.
~Clary's P.O.V~
Clary walked slowly down the Institutes hallway. She passed HIS door and stopped. She sighed quietly. What happened to hating you? Huh, Jace. What happened to me and Simon hating him? I did hate him right? Who are you kidding Clary? You are ridiculously in love with him.You feel jealous when he dances, touches, kisses another girl.
Clary sighed tracing her fingertips over his door. She listened for a sign, a simple sign that he was awake thinking about her to. But, of course he wasn't. He was Jace Wayland and I'm Clary Fray.
As she walked casually back to her room she tried to block out him. To try to think about something but him. Ughh I hate you Jace but at the same time, I love you. Remember the time in the Greenhouse, Jace? Remember you joked about me inviting you to my bed. I wish I had, Jace. I really wish I had.
~Jaces P.O.V~
Jace couldn't get Clary out of his head. She was constantly there. She was his everything.
Jeez, Clary whatever happened to hating you? To wishing you had never been born? He felt like screaming.
Jace felt jealous of Simon. No he envied Simon. He's probably kissed her, touched her in ways he couldn't. He loved her but it would be wrong against nature. He couldn't. He wouldn't. He couldn't bare to hurt her. Because he knew, deep down inside, he was the only one who could hurt her that bad.
Jace sighed and got up. He opened his down and walking down the institute's hallway. He stopped outside his angel's door. He placed his hand quietly on her door.
I promise Clary to be your big brother and nothing else. EVER. Until we're told we're not related, I'm nothing more than your brother.
He took his hand away and just stared at her door. He imaged her there asleep. He smiled at this beautiful image and walked away.
He heard a door open and shut quietly. He heard footsteps and a very light heartbeat. He stopped. He felt a hand place itself on his shoulder sending shock waves through his whole body.
"Jace?" she asked. He turned around to face his angel. Her bright green eyes lit up as they saw his face. He had to leave, before he hurt her. "Jace? What's wrong?"
"Everything's wrong. You… You being my sister… It's just doesn't feel right, Normal, Clary I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to cause you pain. I just…" He was cut off suddenly.
She had placed her arms around his neck and pulled him towards her. She smiled at him and said "Don't worry Jace, This is all I want… For now" and placed her lips on his.
