The Lunar Rose Part 2

Chapter 1

"Ow!" Naruto winced at the sunbeams that were blinding him. He sat up and shut the blinds quickly. "I hate mornings!" He yelled. He sighed and opened up the curtains again and peered out at the village.

"Hinata." Naruto said to himself. *It's been almost a year since she disappeared. Only two months after she was gone Granny Tsunade had called of the search. It's not fair; if she would let me go I could bring Hinata back for sure. I know that I could, but no way Granny's ever gonna crack.* Naruto went into the kitchen and made instant ramen. As he sipped the noodles into his mouth, he became angrier and angrier. "Ugh! I'm sick of instant ramen and I'm sick of being able to do nothing! I don't care what anyone says, I'm going to find her and that's that! But first I'm gonna get some real food."

Naruto walked to Ichiraku's and ate five large bowls of ramen. "It's been awhile eh' Naruto?" Said Ayame as she watched him gulp down the rest of what was left in his bowl. "Yeah, kinda'." "Kinda'? You haven't been here for a month." "Hmm." Naruto set his money on the counter and stood up. "Seeya." "Aren't you even gonna talk to me before ya' leave?" Naruto smiled. "I have a mission to go on." He walked off leaving Ayame standing there confused.

Naruto snuck around Tsunade's office and found the sheet that had the records of team 8's last mission. He quickly stuffed it back into the drawer and escaped before Tsunade came bursting through the door. "I hate paper work!" Tsunade yelled as she sat down. Shizune stomped in right behind her. "Well someone has to do it and you're the Hokage so too bad!" "*Sigh* what's this?" Tsunade pulled out the piece of paper that was sticking out of her desk and looked at it. "What is it?" Asked Shizune. "It's the report on team 8's last mission." "What about it?" "It's their last mission including Hinata Hyuga." "You don't think…?" "Yeah, I think Naruto's going off in search of Hinata." "What should we do?" "Sakura!" Sakura came running into the office. "What is it Lady Tsunade?" "We think Naruto might try to leave the village in search for Hinata. I want you to try and keep him from doing so." "Okay, I'm on it!" Sakura rushed out of the office in search of Naruto.

When night fell, Naruto packed his bag and headed out the door. He walked down the path and just before exiting the village, Sakura called out to him. "Naruto, stop!" Naruto stopped and turned around. Sakura ran up to him and caught her breath. "I know what you're doing but Tsunade said not to let you go." "I have to." "Just stay here Naruto. It'll be okay." "How okay was it the past year that she's been missing!? How okay was it when Sasuke left!?" Sakura looked down. "I'm sorry. But I have to do this." "How do you know you'll find her?" "I will." "What if she refuses to come back? She did run off herself after all." "If she feels the way you say she does, then I have to give it a shot. I'll find her, believe it." Naruto stuck his thumb up. Sakura smiled. "Okay. Good luck." Sakura hugged Naruto and he left the village. "I don't have a very good feeling about this." Sakura whispered to herself.
