Sakura Season

Sakura's growth as a kunoichi shown through the blossoming of a Cherry Tree. Just because you're a late bloomer doesn't mean you can't become better than the rest.

Sakura Season

The tree is bare.
A cooling wind sways
the lifeless branches.
Frosty snow suffocates
as tiny icicles form a surrounding prison.
There is no room to grow

A lone bud peaks through.
Its beauty alone is enough
to bring life to the barren tree.
It signals signs of hope and growth
But it does not grow

The tree is filled with life.
Tiny blossoms dance in the cooling breeze,
letting their petals flutter down
to the covered ground.
But one did not grow.
And she waits; waits and watches

Her tiny petals awaken slowly.
Greeting the warm sun with
the brilliance of her bloom.
She is determined
She is strong
She is beautiful
It is a Sakura Season…

And she alone continues to blossom, even when the tree becomes bare.
