Okay, so long story short, I was learning about sonnets today, and I have a really hard time controlling my author half, so…yeah. Jack x Kate poem. (hides in flame shelter)
Disclaimer: I don't own PotC, but Kate is mine.
This tale begins upon the turquoise sea,
Where a dark-sailed ship fearlessly runs its course,
Her master and her fearless tamer be,
A legend in both fights of wit and force.
This captain, always free and never beat,
Content to sail the seas without a care,
Was found one day to see, to hear, to meet,
And have his heart captured by maiden fair.
This girl, with ocean's eyes and hair blood-red,
Was unpredictable as her home sea.
But betrayal came to her, and so she said,
"Never love-struck shall I again be."
And never she was, until the day, you see,
The dashing bird of freedom tamed the sea.
The captain began to fall, what to do?
This girl, how she set his heart aflame!
And yet, deep within his mind, he knew,
She would help him his Black Pearl to reclaim.
It's destiny, he thought, that brought her here.
It's only sense that I should make her mine.
And so to her, he flirted, wooed, endeared.
But she stepped back - she knew love was not kind.
But by and by, this future-girl was met,
With feelings of love, and from help of friends,
the blacksmith, girl, and to the Isle of Death,
their love did bring about the traitor's death.
And when all ended the captain had tamed.
The girl was now, at heart, a sparrow named.
