Don't own them.

I was jotting down notes in my notebook when I heard laughter nearby. I glanced over and couldn't help but chuckle at Gilligan and Mary Ann who were out chasing butterflies. What was funny though was that Gilligan had been the one caught! Mary Ann had a playful grin on her face as she stood with Gilligan in her net! She saw me and giggled. "Hey Professor! I caught a rare butterfly!"

I smirked amused as I stepped out into the clearing. Rare indeed. In all my life I have never met anyone like this young man. and most likely never will again. "I see that! It appears you've caught the endangered species: the Gentle Sailor!"

Gilligan blushed shyly with a small smile at my compliment.

I grinned. He didn't get complimented enough. "This butterfly is a late bloomer but when they do they're the most rare and beautiful ones of all. They are normally found close to the sea and bring joy to anyone they come across."

"Aw Professor!" Gilligan said blushing and rubbing the back of his neck. Mary Ann smiled as she lifted off her butterfly net.

I smiled as I went over and put a hand on his shoulder. Gilligan was the one that we had all grown protective over. Who wouldn't be? "As I said, the Gentle Sailor is an endangered species. Rarely is one seen anymore. When one is found people have a strong urge to protect them because they have a tendency to remind people how wonderful life really and truly is."

Mary Ann smiled. I knew she agreed with me. She wrapped her arms around Gilligan's middle and kissed his cheek.

I chuckled! "They also have a tendency to turn fifty shades of red when they come in contact with a girl they liked!"

Gilligan scowled at me and I felt much like an older brother teasing his younger one and if I were to be honest it's how I've always felt. I never had any siblings growing up so Gilligan was the best thing to a little brother I had ever gotten and will ever get.

"What about you and Ginger?" Gilligan said crossing his arms with a smirk of his own.

Oh no...well teasing does go both ways. "What about myself and Ginger?"

Mary Ann grinned as well. "Yeah Professor!"

Oh great Little Sister was ganging up on me as well! "I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about!"

They just grinned but before I could let them tease me any longer I bid them a hasty goodbye and walked quickly away! The sound of their laughter echoed through the jungle and all I could do was shake my head with a growing smile.

Rare indeed.
