Take on death note - L
It feels like my heart is exploding. This must be it. Kira has gotten me, and I'm dying.
The world shifts around me as I fall from my chair. My legs are numb, useless. Before I hit the ground, someone's arms catch me. My heart lurches in my chest, tightening my lungs. I can't breathe, and my eyes are scrunching with pain and tears. I look up. It is Light that has caught me.
I feel myself slipping into darkness. My vision goes blurry, and fuzzes at the edges. The pain is unbearable, wrenching at my battered, bruised heart and tormenting with my brain.
"L", Light whispers, "No".
My last breath. It's coming, drawing quicker. I'll be dead in the next second. My last vision. Let's make it good.
I look straight at Light. He looks down at me worriedly. There is nothing he can do but hold onto me. I wonder if he wishes he could save me.
But I would never trust him with my life.
It's coming. Not long now.
Purposely, I clench my eyes not quite shut. I can still see slightly through my lashes.
And in that last moment, as my life is sucked away from Me., I see Light smile.
In that instant, as my eyes close, my body stone cold with death, I know that he is Kira.
