Sam looked around in class, not really paying attention to the teacher; he had learned all this at his previous school, and even taken a test on it. This school was just behind, it seemed. To his surprise, he was a girl looking at him. Curly blonde hair and thick glasses, she was sitting at the desk next to him. She quickly withdrew and blushed, and Sam just stared down at his desk, slightly embarrassed without exactly knowing why.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw him keep glancing at him again. He felt his ears grow hot and his palms sweat a bit. Why was she looking at him? Was she a monster? He made a mental note to tell Dean as soon as he got out of class. This was his first period, after all.
He jumped as the bell rang, and he quickly started to get up and stow his books in his bag. He was trying to get out as quickly as possible, trying to fig through the crowd of other thirteen year olds; he didn't even notice her walk up behind him until he jumped ten feet in the air because she tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hi. I'm Ariana." She said, her ears the same shade as her maroon shirt as she held put her hand. He had hit his growth spurt when he had turned thirteen earlier that year, so it was no surprise that she was shorter than him, like most of the girls. His thoughts snapped back to guard as he quickly shook her hand. "S-Sam."
She smiled and nodded. "Do you want to... Um... Eat lunch with me t-tomorrow?" She stuttered, clearly embarrassed. His eyes widened as he instantly translated that too, 'Can I rip your face off and eat your organs?'
"No. Um. Maybe. I'll have to see." He said, as straight as a stick.
As pushed her glasses farther up on her nose. "Right... Well, see you then." She said, looking far more embarrassed then when she had first come up, and also a bit disappointed.
He nodded and she turned around, looking back and offering him a smile.
He turned himself, the sprinted out the doors and looked for Dean, who was sitting and waiting for him.
"Dean!" Sam exclaimed, relieved.
"Whoa, Sammy, what's wrong?" Dean looked around for any signs of anything bad. "I swear, of it's-"
"No, just... I'll tell you in the car." Sam said.
They sprinted to the rental car their dad has left them and Sam climbed in, waiting for Dean to start the engine before he spoke.
"I think there's a monster at that school! She looks human, and she's-"
"Slow down, Sammy. What happened?"
"This girl wanted to rip my face off!" Sam said.
Dean gave him a look.
"What happened exactly?"
Sam took a deep breath. "This girl was looking at me all through class, and then she asked me to eat lunch with her tomorrow."
Dean started bursting out laughing, much to Sam's surprise. "Sam, she's not a monster! She just has a crush on you!" He laughed.
Sam withdrew. "...really?"
Dean's laugh faded into a smile. "Was she blushing a lot?"
Sam nodded.
"My little bro's got his first admirer!" Dean exclaimed, pulling into their hotel parking lot. "What's she look like?"
Sam shrugged. "She's probably in the yearbook I got today, if you wanna see." Dean got out of the car with Sam, and Dean opened the door using his card key.
"Show me."
Sam laid the thick book on the table for a second, flipping through pages until he found the right one, the scrolled through until he found her picture.
"There!" He pointed.
Dean whistled. "A bit geekish for me. But not half bad! Good job, Sam."
Sam didn't look all that pleased. "...What do I do?"
"Go to lunch with her." Dean said. "Tell her about yourself. Talk about nerd stuff."
Sam scrunched his nose. "Really? That works?"
"Yeah! With your type of girl at least."
Sam nodded. "So, then what do I wear tomorrow?"
