Leonard reached for his friend's cell. He looked at the name in surprise. Why was Penny texting Howard? He put it back. It was none of his business what was going on. Still, Howard had looked through his messages a lot of times. Sometimes he even went as far as reading over his shoulder. It would only be fair to do the same to him.
Penny: Where r u? Evry1's here nd i cant keep S nd R away frm the cake 4evr! x
He felt confused. Just what in hell was going on? He decided to message her back.
Howard: Be back soon.
Almost immediately, he got another text.
Penny: Gd, coz i dont wnt Leonard missng hs 1st bday prty! x
Everything suddenly made sense. Howard wanting him out of the apartment, not wanting him to go back home, Sheldon's early morning visit to Penny... He felt his heart flip as he looked at the text. She'd not bothered with spelling and grammar on her texts, but she'd made certain to spell his name correctly. He pressed the reply box, and agonised over what to write back to her. Finally he decided to just keep it simple.
Howard: He's lucky to have you in his life
Penny: I'm lucky too :) Hury up, ok? x
He didn't reply. Enough had already been said. He replaced the cell and waited. He couldn't wait to see her again.
I was watching Peanut Reaction for the 500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000t h time and as always, found myself wondering, what if Leonard had found a text from Penny? I always thought he worked it out pretty quick, even for a man with an IQ of 173. Anyway, that's that and I hope you enjoyed it!
