Tabuu smiled and changed his expression to extremely excited. His menacing stare sent chills upon the Smash Heroes. Requiem bowed to his knees, honoring his master. Palutena watched on in horror. Mewtwo was too scared to move, knowing his time had come to face the master that he had betrayed that day. Lucas, however, was more indifferent. He smiled almost like Tabuu, a bit more excited.
"I Win", Tabuu shone a smirk of victory. "Everything Will Be In Perfect Balance, And Yes, This Does Make Me Happy. No More Strings. Nothing Left To Hold Me Back. My Limits Destroyed. My Bond With Subspace Is Severed. My Loss To You...Nothing But A Call. A Call That Allowed Me To Change For The Better", Tabuu added.
"Master Tabuu", Requiem raised his right fist and placed it onto his chest. Requiem bowed once more.
"Ta-ta-ta-tabuu?!", Mewtwo expressed fear.
"Oh, Mewtwo. I Hope You're Still Okay. Recently, You've Turned Into Everyone's Punching Bag", Tabuu mocked.
"S-shut up! Do you think I'm afraid of a freak like you?!", Mewtwo said with a tinge of fear.
"Hehehehehe...I Think So", Tabuu chuckled a little.
"Then come over here and face—", Mewtwo got too bold saying that.
"Hi", Tabuu appeared exactly right in front of Mewtwo's face, smirk wide and eyes darting.
"Gah!...Uh, uh, uh, uh...hi", Mewtwo stuttered. Tabuu smirked menacingly.
"Oh, Don't Worry. I Can Kill You For Your Treachery, But That's Why I Have Students To Do That For Me", Tabuu whispered. Mewtwo's eyes widened. "Requiem, Kill Mewtwo", Tabuu ordered.
"Your time is at an end. Prepare for battle!", Requiem stated to Mewtwo.
"...", Mewtwo was more than ready to fight.
"Excuse me, but you're forgetting someone important..", Lucas pointed to himself and smirked.
"Oh, My Apologies", he said sincerely. "...Eh, Who Exactly Are You Again?", Tabuu, messing around with the boy.
"WHAT?! *almost falls on the ground* What the hell are you going on about?! How do you not know who I am?! You're speaking to Lucas, and I AM THE MOST POWERFUL SMASHER THERE IS!", Lucas spoke aptly about himself.
"Hahahaha...Relax, Kid. I Know Who You Are And I Know How Powerful You Think You Are. However...YOU'RE NO WAY IN HELL EVER GOING TO BE AS STRONG AS ME!", Tabuu changed his tone to crazy.
"Hmph..hehe, hehehahahahaha! You won't know that until we fight", Lucas retorted.
"Lucas! Don't! Don't fight him! You'll die! Please reconsider doing this!", Palutena jumped out from the nearby building to Lucas's aid.
"I told you to stay out of this. You've done enough for me, Palutena", Lucas was not happy at all.
"But, my little Lucas—", Palutena grabbed Lucas's left shoulder, begging him not to fight Tabuu.
Lucas smacked her hand away and yelled at the goddess with anger. "Don't ever call me that again! You think you're my mother, but she's dead! She died protecting me! All you've done is treat me like I'm weak!", Lucas said with venom. And then, he shifted his anger towards Tabuu. "And as for you, dickhead! You're going to die and remain that way!"
"Okay. But Remember, You Chose To Fight A Dickhead. If You Get Killed, Well, I Guess We Both Learned Something Today", Tabuu was so calm at that moment. "Now Then. Here's A Glimpse Of What True Divine Power Feels Like", Tabuu initiated a demonstration.
The floating island of the Immortal Tree began moving ominously. It hovered above the St. Iwata Cathedral. In a matter of seconds, the floating island descended back into the planet. The church was instantly destroyed as if a meteor landed upon it.
*!CRASH!*
"...", Lucas was speechless, but he wasn't afraid. The rest of the Smashers were.
*silence falls*

Tabuu sat gracefully in his newly reconstructed throne that used to be the church. He rested his head on his left knuckle and closed his eyes. Not a care. Smiling to himself.
"...", Palutena was too scared to move anymore.
"...", Lucas looked to the floor.
*silence falls again*
"...Pathetic. I could have done better", Lucas stated. "Now..FIGHT ME! You're about the only one left who can provide me a challenge!"
"How Interesting. That's Very Thoughtful Of You, Kid", Tabuu took his response as a compliment.
"That wasn't a compliment!", Lucas was more irate.
"I Think We're Done Talking Now. And As A Reward, I Will Not Attack", Tabuu suggested.
"Are you trying to insult me?!", Lucas grew more irate; his own power rising.
"Oh. Don't Worry. I Don't Intend To Move", Tabuu assured.
"Good...CAUSE I'LL MAKE YOU!", Lucas rushed in battle at full speed. "PK..S-S-S-M-A-A-S-S-HHHH!"
"PK Wha-?!", Tabuu was instantly struck in the face by Lucas. Tabuu was sent flying, crashing into a wall.
*SMASH*
"AAHHRRAHHH! PK...SMASH!", Lucas struck Tabuu in the gut, sending the awoken god through the wall and falling under rumble.
*SMASH*
Tabuu used his wings to fly upwards to escape. "NO, YOU DON'T, YOUUUU BAAAAASTARD!", Lucas leaped as high as possible and grabbed Tabuu by the neck with fearsome force. His own right arm was filled with veins and glowing red markings. "NOW DIE! PK S-S-s-s-M-A-a-S-H-H-hhhh!", Lucas, with his hand clutching onto Tabuu's neck, sent him crashing down back to the earth.
*SMASH*
A shockwave filled with an immense wave of energy was felt as if an atomic explosion dropped. The ground stopped moving, and everything fell silent once again. "Ha! That did the trick!", Lucas boasted. All he saw was Tabuu's frail body smashed underneath the dirt in a crater. The body suddenly vanished in a flash. "Huh?—"
"What An Interesting Ability You Have...PK Smash, Huh?...", Tabuu admired.
"You're really starting to piss me off!", Lucas clenched his teeth. "How are you still able to breathe and look normal?"
"Oh...Your Attack Had No Force That's All", Tabuu briefly stated, knowing that would set Lucas in a fit of rage.
"ERRRR, WHAT DID YOU SAY?!", Lucas was about to lose his cool.
"Hhhheh", Tabuu smirked.
"Lucas! Don't fall for it! That's what Tabuu wants!", Palutena tried to warn him.
"Shut up!", Lucas yelled back at the goddess, making her more upset.
"Heh. Hey, Do You Mind If I Kill Her For You?", Tabuu made a threat.
"Tch, I don't care. My life is too short to wasting time looking out for the weak. I only worry about myself", Lucas replied, crossing his arms.
"Lucas...how could you? *sniffles*", Palutena broke into tears.
"Hehehehahahahaha! I Have Conquered Thousands Of Worlds And Destroyed Hundreds More, And Never In My Encounters Have I Met Someone As Heartless As I Am", Tabuu stated.
"Hmph. You're already dead. I'm going to cut down piece by piece. I'm going to use my ultimate move, and this time, you're not getting back up", Lucas began shaking the ground as he charged up his PK Smash.
"Ooh, Edgy! How Far Are You Really Going To Go Just To Kill Me? I Wonder, Who Are You Fighting For Again?", Tabuu mocked Lucas.
"Myself", Lucas muttered as his right arm was covered in red glowing marks and veins. The ground was shaking with full force. A sudden spike in power emerged from Lucas.
"Double Edgy", Tabuu smirked once more before feeling a powerful strain of energy coming from the esper. "Huh?! What's This?!", Tabuu pretended to look shocked.
"BEHOLD!..THE ULTIMATE MOVE! 100% PK...S-S-S-M-M-A-A-S-SHHHHHH!", Lucas used One Hundred Percent PSI Smash. Lucas struck Tabuu at a moment's glance.
"Hang On...WHAT THE FU-?!...", Tabuu felt the PK Smash deal a devastating blow to his stomach as Lucas drove his right fist into him.
*!SMASH!*
The ground was shaking as an immense wave of energy passed by. Tabuu was nowhere to be seen. "It was already over", Lucas thought. "Damn...well, that was stupid", Lucas said to himself.
"Lucas...Lucas, you did it! Oh, I'm so happy!", Palutena instantly forgot why she was upset and ran to hug Lucas.
"Get away from me", Lucas pushed her away like that, even though he was shorter than her.
"But, Lucas...why won't you just let me help you?", Palutena kept on pressuring the psychic boy.
"Because I don't. Since when have you cared for someone like me?", Lucas turned away from the goddess.
"Lucas...I do care. Please, why don't you just let me take care of you?", Palutena asked sincerely.
"Because I don't care about you!", Lucas stated back.
"Wha-what do you mean?", Palutena said in reply.
"You keep treating me like I'm helpless and weak. Like you're my mother. Why do I keep repeating this nonsense?! Just...get out of my life!", Lucas shot back.
"All I want is to make sure you're okay. I'm sorry, but sometimes, I have to be your mother", Palutena spoke up again.
"Shut the...you know what?! Forget it. Just stay out of the way!", Lucas told her off. "I don't care if I die, just leave—"
*!STRIKE!*
"That...Really...Fuck-ing...Hurt...A Little", Tabuu was both angry and happy, but it was almost clear he was acting. There was no sign of damage or injury around. Lucas almost fell after being struck by Tabuu's hand. It wasn't even a balled fist.
Lucas wiped a drop of blood that came out of his mouth where he had been struck. "*spits* Is that so?", Lucas sounded smart.
"LUCAS! Are you okay, honey?!", Palutena was really worried.
"Didn't you hear me?", Lucas looked to face her for a moment and turned back.
"Ha! Do You Still Think You Have A Chance At Stopping Me, Especially When Even You Used Your Ultimate Move Against Me?!", Tabuu taunted.
"Heh, you just got lucky and survived", Lucas taunted right back.
"Heh, Then Strike Me With Your PK Smash As Hard As You Can. You Know, If You're Still Not Too Weak To Do Anything Else", Tabuu goaded Lucas to attack.
"Grrrrr, TAKE THIS! PK SMASH!", Lucas used PK Smash, striking Tabuu in the face.
*SMASH*
Having zero effect. "I Warned You...You're Too Weak", Tabuu taunted again.
"WHAT?! But-but-but, how?!", Lucas was surprised. "Minutes ago, that should've have hurt you!"
"Now. Now. Let's Not Get Overexcited. You Were Able To Produce Damage On Me...On Such A Low Percentage. I Commend You For Your Efforts. Your Move...One Hundred Percent PK Smash...Looks Impressive", Tabuu stated.
"I'll show you what else I got in store", Lucas shot back. Both Lucas and Tabuu charged at the same time.
*!SMASH!*
ARMORED MEWTWO VS REQUIEM
RUINOUS CHURCH

"KID!", Mewtwo shouted out as he looked upon in the ongoing battle between Lucas and Tabuu, and things were not looking good.
"Anata wa tōzakatte imasu. Warui ugoki. (You're looking away. A bad move.)", Requiem cited.
"Hrmph. So what?", Mewtwo replied.
"You think you have what it takes to stop me? You can't win! I'll crush anyone who challenges me!", Requiem stated.
"Lucario, I know it's you, so stop with these games", said Mewtwo.
"I am Requiem, not Lucario", Requiem stated.
"Enough already! Is Tabuu controlling you? Is that it? Did you forget about us? About Palutena?", Mewtwo argued.
"Watashi wa kinishinai. Tabuu sama wa watashi o seigyo shite imasen. Watashi ga shita koto wa subete jibun no ishi ni yoru monodeshita. (I don't care. Lord Tabuu is not controlling me. Everything I've done was through my own will.)", Requiem revealed.
"That's not right. It's not right. Someone like you would never say that Lucario", Mewtwo shot back. "Don't you care about Palutena? She may not say that, but she does care about you! What happens she were to die?", Mewtwo's change in tone appeared. It sounded like he didn't want to kill Requiem at all.
"Hmph. So what?", Requiem replied.
"Listen to me, Lucario. You think you're Requiem because of the power you've received, but you're wrong. You always have been strong; stronger than me and the boy. Palutena cares more about you that she realizes. She was depressed because she missed you", Mewtwo told him.
"That's...pathetic", Requiem brushed aside what Mewtwo was getting at.
"Grrr, you know as well as I do that you feel the same way! She lied to you, and you ran away thinking you could escape your feelings for her. In turn, you lied to yourself about liking her", Mewtwo yelled right back.
A sharp bleeding pain ran across Requiem's right arm where his Master Gauntlet was attached to. "RAAAAAAAAHHH!", Requiem yelled in pain. "SHUT THE FUCK UP! I'M THROUGH WITH ALL THIS SHIT! NOW FIGHT ME!", Requiem charged forward and struck Mewtwo in the chest, breaking part of his armor.
