Another "Theodore Tugboat" rewrite, this time it's "The Dark and Scary Cove" Enjoy and comment.

Theodore and Hank had just finished working for the day and were on their way home to the docks. The two had been doing many difficult pushing jobs lately, and everyone thought they were becoming really useful tugboats.

Everyone greeted them warmly as they passed by.

"This is the nicest place in the world!" exclaimed Theodore.

Just then, Hank had an idea.

"Let's have a race to Cobequid Cove!"

Theodore loved visiting Cobequid Cove, but he had never been there at night.

"It will only take us eighteen minutes to get there" said Hank.

"Okay then!" said Theodore.

Just like expected, Hank arrived at Cobequid Cove first. By the time Theodore got there, they knew that they had been gone longer than eighteen minutes.

But Hank was nowhere to be seen!

Theodore knew he had to be back at the docks, but he also knew he couldn't leave Hank by himself.

Theodore turned his engine off, so he could listen carefully for Hank.

He then saw Hank entering a dark cove, so he decided to follow him.

In the cove was a old boat, and big trees all around, next to huge rocks. This was a cave, not a cove.

The cave was very dark indeed. Theodore grew quieter, and soon he was deep inside the dark and scary cove.

Theodore couldn't see Hank anywhere, so he decided to call out his name, but it didn't work

"This is the worst place in the world!" he echoed.

But no one could hear him, and that made him feel very scared.

Just then, he saw a shadow that looked just like Hank up ahead! He backed up as fast as he could and bumped right into Hank!

"Where have you been?" asked Theodore.

"Counting rocks." replied Hank.

Just then, something really scary happened. It was the scariest sight the two tugboats had ever heard!

"Let's get out of here!" shouted Hank.

"Follow me!" said Theodore!

They raced as fast as they could at warp speed, to escape from the scary sight. They went so fast that Hank's lifeboat fell off and landed right in the water, but neither tugboat noticed.

The next morning, the dispatcher spoke sternly to both tugboats.

"What you did last night was uncalled for! I shall keep Hank here until he finds his lifeboat!"

"Yes sir." said Hank sadly.

"Now Theodore, you will go find Hank's lifeboat. I don't want to see you back here until you find it!"

"Yes sir!" said Theodore.

Theodore was very nervous about going back to the dark and scary cove.

When he arrived, a search team was looking for the missing lifeboat. Sure enough, they were heading into the dark and scary cove.

Theodore shut his eyes, so he wouldn't have to look into the dark and scary cove. He slowly entered the cove.

And this time, it didn't look that scary at all!

Then, he heard the scary sound. He wanted to turn back and scream, but this time, he listened. What if the scary sound, wasn't anything scary at all?

The sound turned out to be a bullfrog!

Just then, he noticed the lifeboat floating in the middle of the cove!

Theodore felt very proud of himself, and laughed all the way back home!

When he arrived back home, Hank was sitting by himself near the dispatcher.

The dispatcher was very pleased to see that Theodore had found the missing lifeboat!

"Good job Theodore!" said the dispatcher! You are a really useful tugboat!

Theodore smiled, and so did Hank.

That night, Hank wanted to go back to the cove, but Theodore said no. He had already learned his lesson.
