"Mommy, please don't let him take me
Don't you love me? Don't you know?
I didn't mean to change this way
But mommy, please don't let me go
Daddy, please stop screaming at me
I'm still your little girl, you see?
I'm sorry that I shamed your name
But Daddy, please come back for me.
Mommy, please don't cry again
Your screaming hurts my aching ears
I need you now, please take me back
Can you not see these desperate tears?
Daddy, please stop hitting me
I'm nothing but an empty shell
I guess my changing changed you too
I'm dying, Daddy... can't you tell?"
Monica read the document over and over again to herself before looking up at Tess, whose face was solemn and almost sad. "Tess, where did you get this?" "A child wrote it, about 9 years old I think. By the looks of it, God isn't a very big part in her life. He asked that we help her. Without our guidance, I'm afraid this child might be lost." Monica nodded. "Yes, we should notify Gloria as soon as possible. I'll fetch her so that she-" Tess held up a silencing hand. "I'm not sure Gloria is experienced enough for a job quite this, erm...complicated." "What do you mean, Tess?" "Well, it seems this child's outlook on God might have something to do with a past family happening...and I don't think Gloria can handle the importance of this particular mission. Something like this, a child this delicate; I believe you're the right one for this, Monica. Are you willing to help this child?" Monica couldn't help but smile; the chance to influence a child on her journey towards God, what a great opportunity! "Oh course, Tess. I would be honored to take this mission. Where would you like me to start?
