As Sheldon walks upstairs to his apartment with a couple of comic books, he hears Leonard and Penny having a vicious argument.
(Shouting):
Penny: You are such a Bastard!.
Leonard: How am I a bastard? I'm not the one who let some person crash on my couch, and possibly engage in sex!.
Penny: Uhm, excuse me? So Prya doesn't count? Because it sure looks like she did more than sleep over!.
Sheldon opens the door with his key and sighs heavily. He says to himself" Penny, I don't know why you take this abusive verbal behavior. Leonard doesn't deserve you". He closes his door then goes to use his laptop.
Leonard and Penny continue to argue.
Penny: If you love so damn much, then do me a favor and just break up with me! Be a man, Leonard, for once!.
Leonard: Penny, I HATE YOU! I'd wish you go back to Nebraska and burn in hell there!.
Leonard storms out of the apartment as he slams the door, then walks into him and Sheldon's apartment. Sheldon asks" Are you okay?".
Leonard says" No. Me and Penny are finally over. I guess my heart was wrong to fall in love with her".
Sheldon stands up and walks by the couch. He says" Leonard...Do you really think you were the one for penny?".
Out of curiosity Leonard asks" Why?..."
Sheldon says" Think about it, Leonard. You've treated her horribly. You couldn't make it work with Prya, because your insecurities always got the best of you. Prya fell out of your life and went for the better man, John Cena. Penny doesn't need you. she needs a better man. And Leonard, you are not the better man. She needs someone like me".
Leonard gets mad and says" What's the difference between me and you? You never had sex with any girl. You never touched a boob, or made out with a girl. And why are you taking Penny's side?".
Sheldon says" I'm not taking sides. And the difference between me and you is, I actually love Penny. Not for sex. But for who she is, and I will not tolerate you being the shmuck, son of a bitch that you are to continue to treat penny this way".
As Leonard sits on the couch in frustration, Sheldon goes to Penny's apartment. He knocks on the door. She opens it and says" Sheldon, it's you. Thank goodness".
"What's wrong? Do you want me to come in so we can talk?".
"Yeah". she closes the door, as Sheldon walks in and sits down where his spot would be on the couch.
"What's on your mind?". He asks.
"Leonard and I had a terrible argument. He broke my heart, and now it's over". Penny tried to hold herself together, but she couldn't help but break down.
Sheldon does something he has never done before. He sits next to penny, and then holds her. Sheldon says" Penny..."
After a long pause he says "Never mind".
Penny hugs Sheldon and puts her head on his shoulder, as the tears kept on falling down her face. She says" What's on your mind?".
He wants to tell her how he feels about her, but he holds back. "Oh, it's...nothing really". He says.
"Sheldon, you can tell me".
he wipes the tears from her green eyes and in a nervous tone says" I, uh, I have...Feelings for you. And the way Leonard treats you is awful. Don't be hung up on him. I'm head over heels for you and-and you...you, uh, the thought of you makes me feel...happy. And I love you".
A burst of excitement is in Penny's eyes, and she says" Aw! I love you too, sweetie!". He looks in her eyes slowly and as the moment begins to countdown their lips connect to one another. A new love is found and is beating through their hearts, as the hero comes to rescue, he is her knight in shining amour.
