I'll be there:
Inspired by Ryuuga Kowalski9496, this is for our contest. Note, i've never done this pairing before...~
Harsh sunlight invaded the room, immediately causing his eyes to flicker open. Groaning he stretched out on his bed, and grunted as he tried to sit up.
"Unbelievable." He muttered, face wincing as he wrapped his arm around his stomach. He couldn't remember the last time he had gotten sick, perhaps as a child?
But that didn't matter, since when was he one to show weakness? He'd pull through it.
Mustering up the little strength he had, he managed to pull himself out of bed and stand up, only to be hit with a wave of dizziness. He may have fell over to if the door hadn't pulled open, Kenta running to his side.
"Are you okay?" Kenta questioned, copper eyes filled with concern, as he stared up into Ryuuga's face. He had never seen him in pain before.
"I'm fine." Ryuuga grumbled, pushing Kenta away. With his hand on his head, he stumbled, making his way to the bathroom.
Some part of him hoped that splashing some cold water in his face would help him get over it.
"Your fine. Stop being pathetic." He insisted to himself, leaning over the bathroom sink, as he examined his face in the mirror.
Streaks of his white hair were plastered to his forehead, dark bags hanging under his eyes.
Clearly he wasn't a morning person but this was entirely different. He was definitely coming down with something.
"Are you sure?" Kenta asked cautiously, standing in the door way.
"Yes. We've got things to do." Ryuuga grumbled, turning away from the sink to grab his jacket of a hook.
There was work to be done. Besides he was the dragon emperor, he wouldn't be taken down by a cold.
Ryuuga had Kenta practice a training technique, as he leaned with his back against the wall. Normally he may have participated, but he couldn't bring himself to.
Unfortunately, if anything he was beginning to feel worse, barely able to focus.
"How was that?" Kenta grinned happily as he ran up to Ryuuga.
"Good." He muttered, hand over his face.
Kenta stared at him in shock. Since when did he reply kindly to anything he did?
He was about to ask Ryuuga if he was okay again, when he fell to his knees, answering Kenta's question.
What was wrong with him?
Ryuuga began to breath heavily, one hand over his chest as he promptly began to gag, throwing up a little.
Kenta winced, patting him on the back.
Ryuuga tried pushing him away again, but he was far to weakened. Instead he fell over, his world around him fading into nothingness.
Moments later he woke up, uncertain where he was. It took him a bit to realize he was lying underneath a tree, resting in Kenta's lap.
"I don't need your pity." He moaned, voice a bit hoarse. He attempted to sit up again only to be met by Kenta's hand.
Kenta prevented him gently and whispered softly, " You've taken me under your wing, Now let me be your angel and take care of you."
"You were rather persistent." Ryuuga mumbled, unsure of how to react to Kenta's kind words.
Kenta nodded, stroking his fingers through Ryuuga's hair..
Maybe it was just the fever, but his face turned red ever so slightly as a small smile crept across his lips.
"Thanks Kenta..."
Yeah, sorry it's not to good. At least I tried XD It's tough competing next to such greatness *sigh* Now, review! ~lily
