"Sometimes, she just remembered the silliest things. - kosaki-centric, chitoge&raku. drabble."
Showering had become a usual thing for Onodera Kosaki, despite refusing to do so in her younger years.
Perhaps it was because she never quite understood what people meant by "shower thoughts." What about standing up while washing oneself allowed them to think of stranger, and arguably more philosophical, things? It never appealed to her, and sometimes she jokingly wondered whether that's why she had been so ditzy all throughout high school.
Running her long, slender fingers through her voluminous brown hair, Kosaki hummed a small tune, cheeks reddening at the thought of her silly old crush.
Raku Ichijo.
She gasped, tilting her head back and allowing the steamy water to run down the sides of her face. She wondered what happened to him.
He was kind, with a kind face and a low voice and the curious blue-black hair that was always sticking out for whatever reason. He was weak in the face of strong foes, but strong in both mind and heart. He was average in school, decent at conversation making, prodigal at cooking and/or baking - and strange.
He was a regular, school hero. Perhaps that was why he was so popular among the transfer females. Marika, Tsugumi, Haru, herself… Chitoge.
Kosaki lathered her dark hair nearly choking on the shampoo that fell in her mouth from the sudden thought.
Chitoge was…perfect in every way. Long, blonde hair and the bluest, most expressive eyes the brunette had ever seen. Her acting skill were superb, her mind sharp, and her personality exquisite. She was rude and brash, but compassionate and caring when it counted. She was a bit of an airhead, but, really, she was no better than Kosaki herself.
I wonder if she still has her ribbon.
Kosaki paused from the tedious task of attempting wash her back, surprised at the trivial thought. Still… The ribbon meant far too much to Chitoge to ever cast it aside. Kosaki sighed, remembering why it was so special in the first place, and chuckled lightly.
The brunette's eyes widened, remembering the first time the blonde had ever cast aside the ribbon was for Raku to notice her. She paused, leaning against the glass door of the shower. Her fingers curled and her stomach clenched from lingering bitterness of not being the one chosen in favor of a bodacious blonde with the temper of a savage gorilla and a surprisingly sweet demeanor.
(He loved me first!)
She blinked, scoffing at the petty thought that had once crossed her mind when she had been a simple degenerate high schooler.
Sometimes, she just remembered the silliest things.
My first attempt at a Nisekoi fanfiction. Constructive criticism welcome!
