I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! If I did, I would send the first series on TV, or even better, have it on DVD. The one where Yami is really evil.
Something in your eyes
I can't help it but blush. You're looking at me in that way again.
We're sitting in the diner having pizza and a good time. Jono and Honda just made a funny scene arguing about the pizza slice. Everybody laughs since there are a lot more slices left. I also laughed, when I found you looking at me. Not calculating, nor as if you would hint at me that they are childish. Just looking.
I can't help but feel a little uncomfortable. Do you know something?
You have been doing this a lot recently. When we still shared a body I could feel you watching me in spirit form. Then, when you got your own body you would glance at me when we were alone. When in crowded places, you would watch me in the tumult.
I suddenly catch myself staring in your eyes. We hold eye contact as the others are continuing their fun, not noticing us.
I feel my heart beat racing. I can't tear my eyes of yours. So deep crimson, looking at me, wanting me. It feels like the time has stopped and there are only us.
Suddenly Jono interrupts. "Hey, Yuge! What do you think?"
I snap out my daze, turning to Jono.
"Sorry, Jono. What did you say?"
"What ya say we do sometin this weekend, eh? Dis week's been really hot'n da weekend's sure be da same."
"Sure, what did you have in mind? I said, glancing at Yami. He is looking at Jono, listening to what he has to say.
"Well, we figured we could go to the new Kaiba Land." Anzu says smiling.
"That would be fun." I say, suddenly a little emty since Yami isn't watching me.
"Then that's settled!" Honda bursts out while stretching himself. "Now, I think it's time to go home."
We all agree on that as it is rather late, and say good bye. Me and Yami are slowly walking down the street, he a little behind me. It's almost dark and the air is cool.
I want to say something but don't know what. You still are a shadowed enigma, hiding your feelings inside your regal pose.
So we walk quietly until we reach the door to the Kame Game shop. You open the door for me and we enter.
The shop is closed, of course and the living area behind is dark. Grandpa is gone for three days to some archaeological excavation in Arabia. Something with Egyptian culture.
Yami walks further in the house to light the lamps, but I stop a few metres in, thinking.
"Yami?"
He turns his head to me. "Yes, Aibou?"
"…Do you have something special on your mind?" I don't know what to say actually. I want to know what he's thinking ,but I don't want to make a fool of myself if I am wrong in my suspicions.
"Why are you asking?" He now fully turns to me. My stomach suddenly feels a few butterflies and I don't know what to say. Maybe I can hint…?
"Well… you seem to space off a lot now a day…" I say vaguely, looking elsewhere.
It was quiet for a while.
"That's because I have had something on my mind. Someone."
I turn my head to look at him. He is looking at me in that way. Slightly dazed eyes, slowly eyeing me and end up at my eyes.
I find myself captured by those eyes once again, and I take a deep slow breath.
Yami moves towards me, and slows down only some inches away. I have butterflies in my stomach as I can feel his breath. We are still holding eye contact. He is taking my hands in his and lifts them up and slowly kisses them.
"Yami…" I whisper. Oh, his touch! Those eyes!
