"Ragnarok; are you awake?" Crona said in a whisper as she resided in Mr. Corner's side of the dorm. The room nearly pitch black except for the one candle flickering on the desk.

"Of course I am awake moron. I can't sleep unless you do." Ragnarok screamed and forced his way through the pours of Crona's back. He lifted his hands high, but instead of his usual berating of Crona, he simply yawned.

"This room…" Crona said as her eyes darted to the light of the candle. "This room doesn't look too much different." As she blinked, she imagined she was once again home in her room, or rather her prison. Except for the flickering candle, the room seemed nearly identical. She assumed that maybe her subconscious mind fashioned the room this way or she could just be thinking too much on it.

"It does sort of look like Medusa's house now that I think about it?" Ragnarok said and looked around. "Those were the good old days. We could eat as many souls as we wanted. I used to be huge and stuff." Ragnarok trailed off as he flexed his used to be huge muscles.

"The good old days?" Crona said as her eyes slowly gazed on the candle. "Medusa used to treat me nicely when I completed a mission. And sometimes….when I fought I wasn't scared of anything." She said as she raised her hands to her head, watching the fire dance on the tip of the candle. As though it was fighting off the darkness…and losing but still flickered brightly.

"You know we can always leave ya know." Ragnarok said and rested his hands on top of Crona's head, as he also stared into the candle light.

"Where would we go Ragnarok?" Crona said softly. As she spoke those words, a terrible feeling of dread coursed through her body as though she didn't wish to hear the answer.

"Well with your mother and Aunt dead. We can always stay with the witches. Or we can just go on a killing spree and I can become huge again." Ragnarok's eyes slowly peered down at his fleshy partner, wondering what exactly brought on this conversation.

"I don't think the witches would take us in though. You don't exactly have any witch abilities and your mom was exiled wasn't she? You Gorgons are nothing but bad news." Ragnarok said and began to rustle Crona's hair. Crona only stared into the candle, not giving in to what Ragnarok was saying.

"We are bad news right. Maybe it's better that way."Crona said and in a dull whisper. Crona remembering having conversations like this while being locked in her room as a child. A wide smile slowly began to grow on both Crona's and Ragnarok's face. The light from the candle slowly became very dim, as though the darkness itself was snuffing the flame out.

"I won't be afraid anymore….but I won't have friends." Just then the insane smile on Crona's and Ragnarok's face vanished. "I would be alone again." She said again but this time lower than usual.

"Yea I would miss the candy." Ragnarok said hiding behind his words as though he wouldn't care. Both the Meister and weapons eyes once again trailed to the dying candle.

"I don't want betray my friends again." Crona said in a higher tone. "I don't mind being scared; because….I can…I can deal with them." She said as a small smile grew on her face. Ragnarok laughed loudly and slowly slunk back into her back, not before pounding his fist into her head.

"Hey moron, change the candle it's about to die." Ragnarok said before slowly vanishing within his Meister.

Before she could get up the she felt the door open and rays of light filled the room. "Hey Crona, whatcha doing in the corner. We have a big day today!" Maka said and put her hand out. Crona went to grab Maka's hand before turning to the candle, noticing how it now burned brightly.
