Disclaimer- Surprisingly I do not own Doctor Who

Living in the TARDIS made it very difficult to establish the specific, chronological timings of stories in one's life, the Doctor decided. He couldn't give the chapters of his life a set Beginning, Middle or 'end' in the classical sense because, in the Time Vortex, The Beginning could run parallel to The End and perpendicular to The Middle. Following this line of thought, he was forced to come up with a different, less conventional, way of starting his story. There would be no 'On a seemingly average day in London, 2005…' nor an 'In the beginning…' because this story had traversed to times long before (and long after) 2005. So, although he couldn't give the story a set Beginning, he supposed that it would be most accurate to say that their story began with "Run".

More difficulty arose when the Doctor tried to define The Middle of the story. Due to the Wibbly Wobbly, Time-y Wime-y nature of their story, it was difficult to pinpoint exactly when The Beginning ended and The End began. This led the Doctor to conclude that there was no clear mid-point to their time together. However, the Doctor knew that many important things had happened between "Run" and The End, things that couldn't be neglected in the retelling of this story. Therefore, he saw it fit to replace The Middle with all of the adventures they'd shared and all the times they'd spent running, laughing, hugging, hand-holding and all of the other 'ings'. It was necessary to note that the most prominent feature in this cacophony of moments was him falling (there was another 'ing') more in love with her every day.

When it came to explaining The End, the Doctor faltered. He couldn't say that their story had finished because it hadn't. Years from now they'd be at the 2012 Olympic Games and, even further into the future, they'd be watching the world end. So, although, for him, travelling with his pink and yellow human had ended with a heart-breaking goodbye on a godforsaken beach in Norway, in a linear time line their story was far from over. A more selfish reason for his reluctance to label their goodbye as The End was that it would mean it was all over and that he really would never see her again. However, as an alarm went off informing him of a tear in the universe, the Doctor grinned as he realised that, even if goodbye was the end, there was always room for a sequel.
