So I thought I would write another story only to find so little ideas. I picked a fandom and hoped for the best. I have not read the Septimus Heap series for quite a while and have not read the latest book at all yet.
Walking down the path the Extraordinary Wizard, Alther could not help but let out a sigh. Recently his apprentice one Silas Heap, had decided to leave the apprenticeship so that he could raise a family with the lovely Sarah, this left him with a problem, he had enjoyed having an apprentice, someone to teach. The main problem was the one that caught his eye may hurt Silas, and he loved Silas like a son.
Marcia Overstrand although a very bright and talent young magic user, did bring the problem of her rivalry with Silas, most of the inhabitants of The Ramblings had heard of their famed rivalry, which had began with petty pranks. Silas accidently getting ink on Marcia's precious shoes, or Marcia in turn getting some foul concoction onto one of Silas all precious books, or the time that Marcia spent a week as a budgie when she complained about the size of Silas's mouth, the list of pranks and insults was lengthy and many reckoned a tomb of insults and prank ideas could be written by the two of them and sold for a lot of money, that is of course if they could work together for enough time to write the novel in the first place.
To take on the slightly bigheaded Marcia could do a lot of harm, but if she was willing and if she as he knew she would preserve then how could Silas complain? It was for the good of all, after all had Silas not chosen to leave of his own accord. Maybe he should wait a while before asking Marcia if she wanted an apprenticeship.
He could in the meantime come up with an idea for a spell to give her. The Flyte charm might do nicely, the charm that changed water into wine that was also a good one, or the one that changed people into ferrets... maybe not that one she might get ideas. The one that allowed a person to change shape might interest Marcia or the shield charm that would protect several at a time; he could of course teach her that nifty spell any way.
Musing on all the different charms he did not notice that he had reached his destination, The Ramblings until he had reached the Big Red Door, There and Back Again Row, The Ramblings, where the Heap family resided. Just from standing outside the door he could hear the noise, poor Sarah had one big handful with all those boys and expecting again.
Slowly he reached out and knocked on the door, when it opened it was Sarah holding onto Sam who was trying to get down to go outside. Seeing Alther though he grinned up and scampered off.
"Uncle Alther is here!" The volume made Alther wince as he wondered why the whole of The Ramblings needed to know.
He had decided to come and talk to Sarah and ask how she felt about Marcia getting the Extraordinary Wizard apprenticeship.
Several hours later when he emerged he had a small smile on his face, Sarah had pointed out that Silas could live with it and that Marcia while having a big ego was not so bad, as long as you were not in the room with her is what Sarah did not point out.
Walking towards his nice comfy bed Alther smiled the Flyte should be a nice gift to give to Marcia after all it had been given to him.
The end
