A/N: Okay…This is something TOTALLY random that I thought of on the bus ride to school. I have band and TMNT on the brain, and that can be a really weird combo sometimes. Like when I thought of this. It wasn't going to originally be a turtle tot, but then I had amazing ideas. So, here it is.
I don't own TMNT, sadly… : (
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two…"
Master Splinter's voice droned on as he clapped and watched his sons twirl their flags with a critical eye.
"Mastah Splintah?" Raphael said, throwing his flag down. "Why do we have to do this?"
"It is good practice for a ninja," the old rat answered, still clapping in time.
"Well, it's stupid!" Raph yelled, kicking the flag and storming to his room.
"I agree!" Leonardo screeched, also throwing his flag down and running to his room. "I hate this!"
"Geez, what whinerth!" Michelangelo said, tossing his flag and catching it with ease. "Thith ith tho much fun!"
"Good, Michelangelo. Now, cradle it and do figure eights, Donatello."
The two turtles left did figure eights with smiles on their faces. This was the part of training that they enjoyed the most.
After a few more minutes, Splinter said, "Alright, little ninjas. That is good enough for tonight. Gather up your equipment and I will give you both a treat because you went all the way through practice."
"Yeth, thenthei," Mikey said, bowing. (Don said it with his brother, but without the lisp.)
Their father went to the kitchen to prepare dinner while the orange and purple masked turtle gathered up their flags. "Hey, Donny, let'th get the rifleth!" Mikey said, going to the box with the things in it.
"I dunno, Mikey. Master Splinter said we weren't supposed to use the rifles," Don argued, putting his hand on his chin.
"Aw, c'mon! Pleathe?" Mikey gave his big brother the 'puppy eyes.'
"Fine!" Don gave in, throwing his arms in the air and looking away. "But only for a minute."
Mikey got out a rifle and tossed it to his brother.
Donatello caught the wooden gun and started to twirl it with his left hand.
"Hey, Donny! Watch thith!" Mikey said, attempting to do a triple twirly thingy, but epically failing. His rifle came down and whacked him on his upturned face, causing a big welt to come up on it.
Mikey cried out in pain, and in a split second, Master Splinter, Raph, and Leo were there. Donny was already laughing hysterically, and when the other two turtles saw, they also were on the floor, laughing.
"Ha, ha, guyth. Yeah. Really funny," Mikey said sarcastically, holding the bruise on his face.
"I hope you have learned your lesson, Michelangelo," Master Splinter scolded.
"Yeah. I am not going to use a bo staff. Nope. Never. They weigh, like, as much as those rifleth. Maybe even more!"
"Yes, my son. Now, off to dinner, all of you. Donatello, would you mind cleaning up?" Master Splinter said, looking over his shoulder at his second oldest son as he ushered his other sons into the kitchen.
"No, sensei," Donny said, picking up the rifle Mikey had dropped on his face.
He looked at it and thought about doing the thing Mikey had failed to do. So, he did. Don's more skilled with long wooden things than all of his bros.
Now we know why Don has a bo! (My version) Okay. Yeah, it sucked, but I'm not a colorguard person, okay? I'm the Mellophone player! So, I have no idea what the colorguard does! I hope that no one from colorguard read this and got offended…If you did, I would greatly appreciate colorguard phraseology, for future reference.
