Title: Memories.
Summary: Memories that will float away from him just like she did.
A/N: I was in some unexplainable angsty-mood and that resulted in this. But lucky us; This November on Fringe; Olivia comes home!

I own nothing, and judging from this story, that's a good thing, ;)!

He has seen the impossible made possible. Things that every human-being would say couldn't happen had happened. He had come to believe everything to be possible. But nothing could bring her back to him. All he had left of her were memories. The memory of her green eyes searching his brown, of his hand in her long, blond hair. The feel of her arms hesitantly wrapped around his back as he hugs her. All memories, that in time will fade, memories that will float away from him just like she did, until all he has is a picture of her with him, taken in a moment of time that one day he won't be able to remember either.
But those memories are with him now, and they give him the strength to go on. They give him the strength to walk to the gaping hole in the ground where she will be buried forever, taking his heart with her. They give him the strength to throw the flower – a white tulip, because his father insisted on it – on her coffin. And as he sees her smiling at him, he tells himself it's really her, not just a memory, so she is still with him, for now.
