This is it, Link thought to himself, finally the moment I get to see Zelda again. I hope she's happy to see me I think it would destroy me if she wasn't.
"Goddesses I'm so nervous" Link muttered to himself making sure not to awaken Navi, who was sleeping inside his hat. Taking a deep breath Link began to climb the steps to the Temple of Time, pushed open the door and ran inside.
"I have been waiting for you Link" Turing around Link saw Sheik in front of him and couldn't help the feeling of disappointment that came over him.
"Link the hero of time" Sheik spoke. "You have overcome many hardships and awakened six sages. And now you have a final challenge a showdown with Ganondorf, the king of evil… Before that I have things I want to tell only to you. Please listen."
He knew he should listen but he couldn't stop his mind from wondering to thoughts of Zelda. He imagined running his calloused hands over her soft skin through her silky blonde locks. While she looked at him with such love, like there was no other man in the world for her. Whispering his name like a prayer, declaring her love for him.
"The one who holds the Triforce of courage is….. you Link"
"And the one who holds the Triforce of wisdom is the seventh sage who is destined to be the leader of them all" Suddenly a blindly light brought him back to reality, a light so bright he had to shield his eyes.
Stood before him was Zelda dressed in her pink princess dress. Goddesses she's beautiful, Link thought to himself. Long blonde hair like silk, eyes that sparkle like the sapphires in the Zoras stone and a body he'd face an excruciating death for just to spend one night with.
"Link I'm sorry for deceiving you but it was necessary. Ganondorf can never be allowed to get hold of either of our pieces of the Triforce." Zelda stepped towards Link and took his hand in hers. "I missed you so much, I waited seven years for you and when you finally came back I so wanted to tell you who I was. I never stopped thinking of you, believing that you would return." For me, Zelda so wanted to say, as tears fell from her eyes down her cheek. "I've been scared for so long that he's find me"
"Zelda don't cry I cannot stand to see you upset" Link said as he ran his thumb over her cheek wiping away her tears. "I'm here now and I'll never let anything happen to you. Ganondorf will die for everything he's done to Hyrule."
Link brushed away a strand of hair and tucked it behind her ear, his hand lingering on her face. "Zelda I have to tell you that I…..I'm in lov….." Suddenly Link could hear a loud rumbling echoing all around him. A pink crystal formed around Zelda trapping her inside. Link bashed his hands against it hoping to somehow free her.
"If you want to save Zelda come to my castle" Ganondorf laughed as Zelda was taken away, her screaming the last thing that Link heard.
Anger course through Link's veins like he had never felt before. Link knew right then the outcome of the upcoming fight. Ganondorf made a mistake taking the woman the love, Link thought to himself. I'm coming for you Zel I'll save you from the clutches of evil. And I will protect you for the rest of my life.
Link took a deep breath and ran out of the Temple of Time, straight towards the dark castle, finally ready to kill the King of Evil.
