Tired. She was starting to feel the effects of time jumping. He was never there when she needed him. Her parents were gone, lost to the monsters that followed him. As she sat at the table in her parent's backyard the pain boiled over, it was his fault she was always alone. She usually called him "sweetie" but tonight he was a million different names but never once did she call him The Doctor.

Walking back into the kitchen that she had shared so many laughs and tears with both of her parents made the pain rush back but with a deep breath managed to pour herself a cup of coffee and sit down. The reporter would here in the morning. He was doing an expose on time travelers and she agreed to an interview. She knew that sleep would help but she was nervous. She kept a journal of everyone else's life but tomorrow she would be sharing her own. She was calming down when his face flashed in front of her. That stupid grin and bowtie. The tears fell as she staggered to the bedroom where she collapsed on the bed and fell asleep.

The Untold Story of Melody Pond

Jan 1st, 2020

1pm

Sitting across from me was a beautiful woman in her early thirties. She had brown hair that curled so naturally it was breath taking. Her smile, when she smiled that is, was radiating and beyond compare. She had a wit about her that i had never encountered in any woman. She seemed to demand all eyes on her. My crew had a hard time focusing on their jobs at hand. I rubbed the sweat from my forehead and took a swig of coffee. I knew from the moment I walked into the room that Lady Pond was going to be tour de force.

I motioned to my note taker to sit down and put my papers in order so I could keep track of the conversation. She hadnt even looked up at me yet and I was starting to worry that this interview wasnt going to take place. All of a sudden out of no where Lady Pond jumped up, slammed the backdoor and sat back down. She pushed her hair out of her face and in a mocking tone said "Now we are ready". I took that as I better get started.

1:30pm

I decided to start slowly. I have documented exactly how Lady Pond answered the questions I asked. I think that all of you are in for a real treat.

"For the record what is your name?" I asked to start off the conversation. Giving me a sly smile that sent shivers up my spine she answered "My name Is Melody Williams Pond and you may call me Melody or River if you would like". Again that smile came out and the mockery came back into her voice but was I damned glad to see her smile. "Melody, can you tell everyone why you sometimes go under the guise River Song?" She looked at me with sad eyes and said "we shall cover that when we have a full day" and her smile came back.

I cleared my throat, took a drink of water and went on the the next question. "Melody, what are you doing these days now that your not jumping through time all everyday?"
