Kerris was born into the perfect erudite family. She had parents who were good friends with Jeanine and her twin sister was a straight A student who would always want to know more, but Kerris was different from them. On the day of the aptitude test she faces a big problem. She is divergent and she chooses dauntless. There she will make more friends and possibly find a love interest

1. Chapter 1

Hello, my name is Kerris, pronounced care-is, and I just turned 16 a few days ago. The aptitude test will be tomorrow and I am very nervous about it. I know that I should not be, but I can't help it. I am really scared about what I will do if I get another faction, but I am even more terrified of getting erudite because I feel like I don't belong here.

I was born into an erudite family. I have the perfect twin sister, named Karen, who is perfect for erudite and parents who are high ranking with the erudite and are good friends with Jeanine. I grew up as an okay student and mostly B's and some A's, but the other erudite children, like Karen, only got A's. I always had wanted to try out for all of the sports, but my parents would never let me and I was always off climbing whatever I could find. Once my parents caught me and I was grounded for a month because I should have been reading or studding. I had never felt like I truly belonged.
