The first thing 2D saw when he woke up was the cheerful face of Noodle bouncing up and down. "2D-san, 2D-san!" She chirped, "Wake up 2D-san!" 2D yawned, confused. He slowly sat up and stared at the giddy girl "What are you doin' in my room Noods?" the groggy 2D mumbled. "Well, DUH 2D-san, I'm here to wake you up!" 2D glanced at his alarm clock as he put his blanket over his arms. "But it's 6 in the morning and..." 2D shivered, "it's cold." Noodle rolled her eyes and threw the blanket off of 2D. "Ah!" he yelped as his warmth withered into the freezing air. "Come onnnnnnn!" 2D had no time to react when suddenly the violet haired girl grabbed his wrist and started pulling him towards the living room.
When the two reached the living room, the others were already there. Russel was kneeling on the ground holding a brown box that he rested his arms over as if he were keeping something inside of it, while Murdoc was sitting on the couch with his feet on the coffee table, holding a cig in between his two fingers. "Okay Noods, everyone's 'ere like you wanted," Murdoc said in a annoyed voice, taking a drag of his cigarette. "Get the 'ell on with it."
Noodle ran over next to Russel "And now we present!" She announced loudly, making the recently woken 2D wince, "INU-CHAN!" Her voice rang out loudly as Russel lifted his arms up, the box's top flaps jumped open as a small, golden puppy with a white spot around his eye leapt out of the cardboard confines. 2D's mouth widened into a huge smile while Murdoc simply scoffed. The dog ran around the room excitedly, exploring it's new home while it's tongue flopped out of it's mouth. "What's 'is name?" 2D asked excitedly "Well.." Russel and Noodle said in unison.
"I think his name should be Inu-" "-I was thinking of calling him Arthur-" "-because Inu is so cute and fun to say-" "-since Arthur emphasizes his class while also-" "Would ya two shut yer yappin' mugs!" Murdoc shouted at the two fighting over the puppy's name. After a moment of silence, "Well which do you prefer?" Noodle wondered aloud. "I don't like either of 'em." He said "'Sides, who even said I was gonna let you keep 'im?" Noodle looked shocked. "What?!" Murdoc shrugged. "I don't want a god damn puppy 'round 'ere. Seems 'ed be more trouble for everyone."
Noodle fumed "We're keeping the puppy!" She said, her face going red with anger. Murdoc began saying something before he was cut off by Noodle. "WE'RE. KEEPING. THE. PUPPY." Murdoc sighed. He knows he'd never win an argument with her when she's like this. "Fine, fine." He mumbled, putting his hands out in defense. "On one condition. I get to name 'im." everyone was silent for a moment. "And that would be?" Noodle asked, horrified. Murdoc thought for a second. "We'll name 'im Arseface." Murdoc said simply. "oh HELL NO!" Noodle said crossing her arms in frustration. "His name is Inu!" Accompanied by "No, it's Arthur!" "'is fuckin' name's Arseface!"
The entire room was getting louder by the second with everyone fighting over the dogs name. "Um, guys..." 2D said soundly a bit worried. His voice was drowned out by the yells "Arthur!" "Inu!" "Arseface!" "Guys..." he tried again, louder, not wanting to yell. "GUYS!" He finally said loudly, "What?!" They all said. "Let's name 'im Shoeshine!" 2D said pointing to the pup with his once golden paws now black boots as he pranced on the shoe polish.
"This is why we can't have nice things!" Noodle complained loudly.
A/N: So, this is my first fanfic, please R&R. And yes this is a 2Doc fic. It will be sorta slow because I like relationship build fics but they will get together I promise xD (and yes there will be smutty goodness)
PS: Murdoc wanting the name of the puppy to be "Arseface" is actually a reference to a video game where you can name your character that! Whoever guesses right gets internet cookies!
