A/N: Okay, so I'm taking a break from Damerey and exploring some other fandoms I belong to. This is kind of a Phan/Hogwarts mashup story. I will recognize that Dan and Phil have a five year age difference, but for story coherence sake, I said screw it, they were both born in 1990 and start school in 2001. Go with it. That is after the Battle of Hogwarts, because I would rather not deal with timeline bullshit.
Disclaimers: I do not own the properties of Hogwarts, Harry Potter or Dan and Phil. Brief HP references might happen, as well as llama conversations. Buckle in. Thx!

September 3, 2001
A brown-haired boy rushed down a flight of stairs, practically tripping and falling multiple times.
"Mum, have you seen Beaver?" he shouted.
"No, hon. If you lose him, I'm not buying you another." a maternal voice said from another room.
"Damn it, Danny, he's in my luggage. I told you to keep the blasted thing away from my room!" another male voice said, footsteps padding down the stairs.
"Sorry, Mike." Dan ran forward and grabbed the pug puppy from his older brother's arms.
"Can you two idiots quiet down and get ready? The train leaves at 9 sharp and I'm not missing it. Again." the eldest sibling, Dan's sister, stood at the top of the stairs with a trunk in one hand and an owl cage in the other.
"Yes, Chloe." they both conceited quietly under her will, walking up the stair and grabbing their bags.

"Bye, Mum. See you at Christmas." Dan embraced his mom in a bear hug before pulling away and stepping toward the train.
"Danny?"
He turned to his mother. "Yeah?"
"Whatever House you end up, I'll be proud of you." she said, running a hand over her son's cheek.
"Thanks, Mum." The train whistled shrilly and Dan ran toward one of the open doors. He pushed through the center walkway, trying to find an empty compartment.
"ALL PASSENGERS, INCLUDING MAGICAL PETS, PLEASE FIND COMPARTMENTS AND TAKE YOUR SEATS. THANK YOU."
He looked into the next compartment, luckily being empty of all but one boy. Dan swung the door open and sat down opposite the boy, setting his trunk next to him and sticking out his hand. "My name's Dan Howell. What's your name?"
The other boy seemed to shrink back away from the hand instinctively before leaning forward again and grinning.
"My name is Phil Lester. Nice to meet you, Dan." And as they shook hand, an unspoken electric shock shot through both of them, seeming to speed up both their heartbeats noticeably. This was the start of something more. This was the start of something great.
A/N: Hey again, guys! Thank you so much for reading my humble little story. Will update soon! Also, I'm still working on writing dialouge, so gimme a break! Bye and good night,
MooseMeg :-)
