Mary let out a long sigh as she watched Tessa, Rose, and Meredith finish their dances with James, Derek, and Matthew respectively. The next dance would be the father-daughter dance. For Tessa and Rose, it would have been tough for Steven to choose who to dance with first as both sisters had pointed at each other. When Murray heard, he volunteered to help out, saying that he would dance with one of the sisters in Steven's place. They were all so lucky to have Murray and his family as their friends after all these years.
However, right now Mary reminisced about something else: the ceremony. The decorations were spot on and the dress choices that Tessa, Rose, and Meredith made were all unique with one material in common – lace. And then there were the vows. All of them were beautiful, but the most touching was the vows of Tessa and James. They were filled with emotion.
-A few hours earlier-
Tessa cleared her throat and, with a bright smile on her face, began her vow. "James Connors, you have brought so much joy into my life. More so than I could ever have imagined. We laugh and cry together. When I have a bad day, you instantly know and do whatever it takes to cheer me up. For that, I am yours forever and always."
James smiled. After he breathed in and out, he began his vow. "Tessa Marina McGreer Cronin, you completed me from the first day we met. I always knew that I was meant to be with that one special person. That person is you. From this moment forward, I will share my life, joys, and sorrows with you. I will always be there for you no matter what."
Mary was happy, not only for Rose and Meredith but for Tessa as well. She had grown up to become beautiful and smart just like Denise was.
Indeed, everything was perfect in life.
