Without a Purpose
Roxas was never one who did things without a purpose. It reminded him too much of his days in the Organization. So while Sora goes around to people he didn't even know, Roxas just couldn't help but ask.
"Why do you do that?"
"Do what?" Sora asked. The Keyblade Master was currently laying on his bed after a tiring day of helping around the island. Doing chores from cleaning beaches to keeping the elderly company.
"You help everyone, even people you don't even know! Why?" The Nobody asked. It was such a confusion to the blond.
The brunette chuckled and began to think for a reason why he helped all those people in the first place. After ten minutes of deep thinking and Roxas's patience wearing thin, Sora just couldn't think of an answer.
"What do you mean? You had to those things for some reason, right?" Roxas asked. He himself always did things because he was told to do it. But Sora on the other hand did these things just because he wanted to. Sure, he complained while he did the chores, but never once did he just give up. It just didn't seem to come to the happy-go-lucky boy's mind.
"I guess I did it because it felt right to do it," Sora finally answered. His blue eyes slowly closed as he fell asleep. But Roxas stayed up, pondering on his Somebody's words.
"I wonder if he does these things because he has a heart," Roxas asked to no one in particular. A smile grew on the Nobody's lips as he remembered when he and Axel would just watch the sunset together. Even though Roxas had been ordered on the first day to go there, he continued to go there without being told everyday, defying orders.
Then the answer came to him suddenly.
Sora didn't do these things because it didn't have a purpose, but because it made others happy.
The smile grew to a large grin on the Nobody's face as he learned another fact of having a heart.
