So this is a sequel to it was always obvious it's directly after. I've only seen the first five episodes of season 1 so for so sorry if it's incredibly out of character hope you love it. And thank you to everyone who reviewed the first story or added it the favourite list.
I watched Fitz grab his things and walk out of his office I saw him talking to his secret service I assume trying to figure out how he could leave; when I saw them relent I pulled out my phone to call Olivia.
"Olivia Pope speaking."
"Hi Olivia its Mellie."
"Hi Mellie do you need something?"
"I do actually it's about you and Fitz."
"Mellie I can explain?"
"Olivia Breath it's okay I've always known about the affair. I know that you're the love of his life. And I'm okay with that because he loves me and we both got what we wanted where in the Whitehouse. The reason I invited you tonight was so you could see each other. Fitz hasn't been sleeping he's been miserable since you left. Amanda Tanner was a distraction so he could try and convince himself that you meant nothing to him. I also know what happened tonight when Cyrus cornered you everything he said was a lie Fitz was waiting for you."
"I'm sorry Mellie I never meant for it to happen I didn't what to hurt anyone."
"I know Liv and you and Fitz you have my blessing to continue the way you were before you left."
"Thank you so much Mellie I don't know what to do though I think I've stuffed up?"
"Don't worry I told Fitz about Cyrus intervening you can expect him at your door soon. I truly hope the two of you sort it out."
I hang up after that and I really meant it I know most people would think it's weird that I'm encouraging my husband to cheat. But I've always seen it as Fitz was cheating on her with me. When you see them together they just have eyes for each other they have these moments where you feel like your intruding.
I want to find a guy that looks at me like Fitz looks at Liv I've always been a romantic saying that though I don't regret choosing a career over love but I also know it's not too late for me but I do know that I will not stand in the way of true love.
