WOLVERINE VS. TIME 2060
Wolverine is approximately 370 years old now…maybe more, and time has been taking a toll on him. Even great heroes fade from the aurora. The year is 2060 and Wolverine is basically retired at his house in New York state…
As Wolverine was working on one of his classic bikes, not so classic to him, a sniper was taking aim at his head. Wolverine picked up the scent of the soldier and sighed.
"Does it ever end?" he wondered.
A shot from behind launched a single bullet at Logan's heart. Logan, expecting it, moved very quickly. The sniper missed, and Wolverine was gone from site. The sniper was a hired soldier, a mercenary for the Anti-Mutant movement. Even now people refuse to understand. The sniper recovered from the recoil of the rifle and noticed Wolverine missing. The sniper's bullets were specially made to penetrate into Logan and explode on insertion. Logan was behind him. But that didn't matter because he died before he knew it. Wolverine finished his bike and left his place and went to the X-Men Mansion. There he met up with Cyclops and other X-Men. He searched the computer there and with the help of Professor Xavier found out who was out to kill him.
The decaying professor, surviving on new respiratory technology, told Logan,
"They want you dead. It's that simple. The Anti-Mutanteers want you dead. They've already killed Gambit and Beast."
"How?"
"They've developed weapons, rifles to be precise, that use non metallic, yet explosive bullets. The rifles themselves are made of a polymer compound. Even magneto is on guard."
"So they're basically Nazi's and where the Jews?"
"You could put it that way."
Wolverine stayed at the mansion and researched the Anti-Mutanteers. He found out where there headquarters were and planned an invasion.
