Lois was sound asleep, as Clark watched her in the midnight hour. They had been dating for over two years, and that night they decided to take their relationship to the next level.
Clark listened to her heartbeat, which seemed to have a calming effect on him. As the moonlight drifted through the window, Clark could see the rise and fall of her chest. 'She's so peaceful and gorgeous.' Clark thought to himself as he caressed her cheek.
"I'm so lucky to have you" Clark quietly whispered to her, as his lips hovered over cheek. He gently kissed her, not to wake her up. "I don't know what I did to deserve you"
"I almost lost you once and you forgave me. You took me back. I thank God every day that you are in my life. Lois, I can't bare to live without you… even then" Clark said, on the verge of tears.
"When I finally told you the truth… I thought that you would hate me."
"If I can't live with out you it would be worse than being stabbed with a kryptonite blade." Clark breathed out, as a silent tear rolled down his cheek.
"I'm so sorry for what I did to you Lois… the pain you must have gone through"
Clark let out a breth, before continuing. "So now I come to you with open arms, nothing to hide.
Believe what I say. So here I am with open arms hoping you'll see what your love means to me*."
Clark gently kissed her forehead. He tightened his hold around her slim figure and rested his head back on his pillow, and drifted back to sleep. Little did he know that Lois had woken up after he kissed her cheek.
