This is My Story

"Halt! Or I'll shoot!" yelled the cop. A small object came whizzing by my head at that moment, it crashed into the wall. Because I was so far ahead of them, I examined the object. "Shit," I thought, "now they're shooting rubber bullets, well that's a new one." I quickly came to a dead-end alley. Almost without a pause, I ran and jumped off the wall rebounding to the top of the fence where I grabbed on to the fire escape about 6 feet above me. I then ran up the fire escape and hid in an air conditioner vent.
While the officers climbed up the apartment building, I hid there in the vent not making a sound. I should probably take this time to tell you who I am. My name is Tarren, I'm fifteen years old and I make my home just outside of the city limits of Celadon City. My family consists of me and my father. Now if you're wondering why my father would let me get chased by cops, let me tell you, that asshole is too drunk and doped up to do anything for himself, let alone his kid. My mother died in labor with me and my older half-sister died three years before I was born.
I'm a veritable prodigy in just about all aspects of computer usage, manipulation, and programming. I was caught by these guys coning tourists out of money and fucking around on the escalator at the Celadon City dept. store, jumping off and stuff. This is maybe the third time I've been caught at the Celadon dept. Store, even though it's more of a mall now.
I ran home as soon as the cops left, keeping to rooftops and back alleys in the bad part of town. I made it safely to my house and used my key to get in. Once there I logged on to the internet. I checked my mail, nothing very interesting, a few ads for porn sites and a mortgage calculating program. As soon as I logged off, I heard a knock on the door. When I came to answer it, there was a sudden kick to the door, knocking it open and throwing me against the staircase. A cop stepped in. Behind him stepped walked man in a neat suit. "Hello, Tarren Syne" I then felt a sharp pain in my back, everything went black.
