"Just shut up and listen." I grinned cockily, and that turned into a full-blown smirk when an enraged yell, loud enough for the whole school to hear, tore through the Odaiba High hallways.

"Yagami Taichi, you are SO dead!"

          There goes my cocky grin again. I glanced at Jyou and Koushirou, both looking somewhat amused, though Koushirou's expression wavered between amusement and disapproval.

          "And that will be my cue to run." I saluted mockingly at them, then tore down the hallway before Yamato caught up with me.

          Yep, that yell was Yamato all right.

          I turned down a hallway on my right and paused for breath, laughing my head off.

          That moment cost me.

          "Taichi…"

          I looked up in absolute horror as Yamato gave an evil smile, a predatory glint in his eyes.

          Gulp.

          Oh, shit.

          That evil smile never left his face as he advance towards me, I grinned cheekily.

          "Um…hey Yamato! Going on a chocolate binge?" I chirped cheerfully.

          I watched as he twitched noticeably. Then responded in a low, dangerous voice.

          "How would you like to look the same?"

          Okay, now he's really freaking me out and –wait, what is he holding behind his—

          SPLASH

          —back… too late…

          I spluttered indignantly, blinking furiously as streams of water dripped from my bangs in to my eyes.

          Oh well, at least I wasn't covered in dozens of Milky Way wrappers which —did I fail to mention? — Yamato definitely was.

          Oh yeah, Yamato was pissed as hell.

          My great, ingenious plan…

          …

          …Had backfired.

          I attempted another cheeky smile. It must had looked pretty pathetic because Yamato's anger seems to recede a bit, just a tiny bit.

          A crowd had gathered and most of them witnessed my dunking. The other digi- destines were among the crowd, and Koushirou was looking thoroughly amused by now.

          I bowed mockingly at my classmates, a puddle forming quickly at my feet.

          Typical Monday morning with typical me.

          Normality just learned how to fly. Out the window and down the gutter, that is.
