Rated M because I'm paranoid. And because of imagery, blood, and untimely death. Readers beware - this is the Joker we're talking about here.
I also planned on this fic being a little cartoon-y, so don't get too disappointed. :P

And this is when he really starts to get into it.

His victim, whose name he has forgotten or doesn't care to remember, is shaking and cupping his hands together - symbolic of prayer. The air is still, and with it comes precision. He loses his mind and begins shaking as well, but out of excitement and lust.

There's blood. Buckets of it. Where did it come from? Did it come from the slab of meat tied to the chair or was it carved from his own substance? Did his knife cause this heaven? His nails? His teeth? Or maybe it was all of him.

He likes being lost.

He doesn't know where he is.

But then he hears that familiar, delightful, comforting sound. A haze of red smears his vision; through it, he can see the pitiful kitten choking. Choking on its own indisposition.

He begins to laugh.

And laugh.

And laugh.

One big, deliciously mute joke.

He licks his lips and tastes iron. This taste brings him back. There's silence and a dead man in front of him. His head is resting between his shoulder blades, mouth agape. His throat is talking and spitting. Gurgling. Bubbling. Boiling.

The Joker smiles. This is how his day should always commence: a nice, relaxing bath accompanied by the sound of paradise.

But paradise comes at a great cost.

The stains on his outfit are just not acceptable for making simulated, honorable first impressions. Memorable, yes, but goodness gracious - he wants people to trust him before things start cookin'!

They'll be pretty tricky to remove.

The Joker swipes a gloved finger over the fresh blood on his jacket, musing. He sucks on the jewel. At least his tongue is satisfied.

He skips merrily out of the room, meeting more darkness. The body is left to rot.

If you enjoy music of the dark electronic/harsh EBM genre, then check out the album In The Acts Of Violence by Dawn Of Ashes. This fic originated from the inspiration I received whilst listening to it.
