A/N) I can't -
Who's writing? Eden
EDEN - Eden is the sad, angsty kind of love writer. Does not delve into descriptions, only emotions.
.:Blinded:.
Luka watched as Wendelline took care of his childhood friend. Once again, it was his fault. If it wasn't for him, Aidan wouldn't have needed to shove him out of the way, and didn't have to take the brunt of the attack. Wendelline slowly unwound the bandage, and Aidan tapped his foot impatiently. "Everything will be fine," Wendelline said calmly, with a touch of resignation in her voice. "Everything will be just fine."
He couldn't be fine. The attack went into the ground, and the rubble flew right into Aidan's eyes. He couldn't be fine... no. He shouldn't be thinking like this. Wendelline was a great doctor; surely she could come up with a cure?
The first thing Luka noticed when Wendelline finished was Aidan's eyes. Instead of the typical red eyes which an albino has, he has misty pink eyes. Aidan looked confused for a second, asking, "Have you finished yet?"
When he received no answer, he lowered his head. "I can't see, can I?" he asked softly. "I'm blind, aren't I?"
"I'm sorry." Luka didn't know what made him blurt it out. He backed away. Luka couldn't even begin to fathom how Aidan felt; not being able to work on his machines, his seemingly useless scraps of metal that he had grown to love.
"Look at me now," Aidan laughed bitterly. "I can't even see anymore. I can't fight, I can't defend myself, I'm useless. I can't even be a proper paperboy. I'm just a burden to the rest of this place. I've worked on the defending mechanisms, and now I can't tell where any of you are. I've spied on the Verne Mines, and now I don't think I can go anywhere without crashing into something."
"Surely you can have a forensic eye?" Belle asked, stepping closer. Aidan's laughter quelled, and his voice grew as cold as ice.
"A forensic eye? And who would make that? I can't even make a stupid blueprint! I can't test out what would work and what would not, I can't tell which wires go where, I can't even do anything!" Aidan shouted in a fit of anger. His eyes flashed with rage.
"Aidan, calm down!" Luka yelled. Aidan fell silent and looked in the general direction of him. "Listen. You're not useless, and we'll make through this together."
"But-"
"No buts. We're making it through together and I am not leaving you alone."
"But... how can I help...?"
"Any way you possibly can."
A/N) OKAY I honestly hate this ship. I like them as best friends, sure, but no. Not lovers. I can't stand it.
