The Dark
Heart upon heart…
We have no hearts.
Unable to feel, able to fade.
The darkness that envelops us,
Stays. Never ending blackness.
For, we have no light in our non-existent hearts.
It suffocates us.
The darkness, the never ending suffering,
Of remembering what having a heart was like.
It tears at us,
To figure out how to get a heart…
To know and feel emotion…
Without faking, without wishing.
Our wish for hearts…
Faded away in the void of darkness…
Just as we did…
