Entrapped by Beauty
Prologue
By Krylancelo
Soft, pale honey colored hair was all she could see when she opened her eyes. After an unsuccessful attempt at sitting up, the young woman leaned her head back on the pillow. Dark, silver sheets were tangled around her arms, and it took her a moment to pull her hand out. She slowly raised it to reach her face and move the hair out of her pale, green eyes.
A few swipes of her hand quickly moved loose strands of hair out of her face, and the young woman let out a breath she hadn't even known to be holding. She slowly turned her head to the side and looked around an unfamiliar room. Across from the silver bed was a low table in white with floor pillows in various shades of blue and green all around it. From her quick look, the young woman could see five or six different pillows, and some of them were even stacked near the door. A door which was slightly open and she could hear a chorus of soft music coming wafting in.
"Where… am I?" She whispered, her voice barely reaching even her ears.
Her brow wrinkled for a moment as she tried to recall how she had gotten to this place. Why she was in this bed that seemed so big. Her mind drew a blank. Nothing looked familiar no matter how hard she wanted it all to just click. There really was nothing there for her to grasp onto. Not even a name.
"Maybe it's just a dream." She murmured.
She slowly raised herself up on the bed and slid off the side near the door. She had been sleeping on that side, and the other one was near a window that let in a steady stream of daylight. For a moment, she seemed entrapped by the bright, blue sky that looked so far away.
"Maybe some fresh air will help." She murmured again, and walked to the window on unsteady feet. For a moment she was afraid she would have to lean on the bed to get there, but she somehow pushed past the dizziness she felt and reached the large window. Her green eyes widened as she reached out her hands to pull on the latch.
"What.. What is this?" She said in alarm, for although she didn't have any memories she did have a diamond ring on her left ring finger. This couldn't mean what she though it did, could it?
Slowly she raised her shaking hand up to her face. Right there. It really was right there. A golden band and a golden ring with a nice diamond set in the middle. She frantically searched around the room for something, anything that would tell her more. A letter, a number, or even a person would be nice. She let out a soft gasp as her eyes fell on a small, silver frame that had a picture in it.
She was in it. Wearing a beautiful wedding dress decked in all white with a few gold flowers placed in her hair. Her face was flushed and glowing with happiness. Standing beside her was a man she didn't know.
A soft sob flew from her mouth as she stared at the picture in pure shock.
How could this have happened?
Krylancelo note: Hello all! This is the first part of my new fic. Yeah!
I haven't wrote anything in a long time, so this will be all fun (for me and I think you)
Please review, I like the anime Amnesia quite a bit.
